Capcom-Unity revealed they'll be doing a special giveaway on their live stream on May 15th for Operation Raccoon City to coincide with the release of the final 3 DLC missions and new maps for Versus. No official price has been listed or confirmed yet however it's assumed to be the same price as the last pack which is 800msp or $9.99 on PSN. Live streams and give-aways will take place at 4pm EST for the 360 and PC versions. No news on any PS3 give-away.

The three new missions feature the Umbrella Laboratory, the Trainyard and the Dead Factory as well as a 'new' boss called the 'Super Tyrant'.

Super Tyrant is the name of the form any Tyrant takes after their limiter is removed... not very "new". I wonder if it's just the same one fought in the U.S.S. campaign.

^ I think so yea. Tyrant R and Super tyrant is basically the same, from what I understand.

Actually, according to some spanish/brazillian site, it's a 'new' tyrant form with some kind of legs protruding out of it's heart area. I didn't include the spanish site or too much info from what it said because the link given was confusing as obviously it was all in spanish but as well, the stuff mentioned in the tips poster I couldn't see where any of it was gleaned from in that link or where any of 'their' sources were to confirm it as legit.

However, I have heard about the 'new' Super Tyrant three times now, even on Capcom-unity before so I left that part in but didn't mention the protruding legs etc. because I can't confirm that.

Regardless, Dead Factory level has you fighting off the Tyrants that get dropped there so even if there is no 'new' super tyrant, there's the normal 'super' tyrants that need to be dealt with with the Rail Cannon.

Give-Away is on the 15th as mentioned in the original post. It'll be at 4pm EST. It's only for the 360 version though. They're doing a PC giveaway around that time too. Nothing for PS3.

That sucks that they don't have a ps3 give away, but nice to hear about the pc giveaway

I'm thinking Capcom will do some special soon where they have all of the spec op missions together for one price on live and psn..in the near future..and probably for like 10 bucks...that would be the bastard thing to do after most who wanted it already spent 30 bucks. Capcom is such a horrible offender with dlc, just about the worst I think.

Just to add to the previous comments. I played the DLC earlier today. There is indeed a new 'Super tyrant'. It's actually a Tyrant infected by one of the parasites that take over zombies. He's the final boss of the DLC and he's basically the best boss in the entire game. The fight against him is actually pretty damn awesome and fun and he's incredibly difficult to beat. It's not a 1-2-3 kinda deal like all the other bosses. And he has 3 forms as well.

He doesn't actually physically change forms but there's 3 stages of the fight where his attacks get increasingly more brutal each time you wear him down. I really enjoyed the fight.

To further drive home how tough the fight is, while every boss fight has an ammo box and gives you a first aid or two, this one literally has 2 ammo refills, 6 first aid sprays and respawning green herbs along with grenades and everything everywhere because the fight is 'long'. And zombies and parasites and whatnot enter the fight halfway through and make it even more difficult.

holy shit, were there ammo boxes when i battled wesker, the tyrant, nemesis, the original super tyrant, g-birkin or sadler? Nope but thats what made them fun, however though i do have a question. Is this like a platforming battle or shoot-n-spray
