I agree, Jill need a break. But she can be in Mercs, which would be great. Claire yes to the sidekick role.

I'd rather just see a nod to Jill in the end or have her make a cameo should something ill happen to Chris. If we can't have some sort of semblance of Claire in this game, Chris could atleast mention her for once if Sherry doesn't get around to reflecting on the past in any way. I wouldn't be surprised if such a memory omitted Claire for Leon.(Didn't even mention her on Sherry's site profile after all)

But if we consider post-RE2/RE3 events, then yes, Leon has more significance in Sherry's story.

Claire, fair enough, she hasn't been in many instalments, period. But to say that they shouldn't include a character due to the fact they've had too many appearances is a flawed argument, Chris and Leon are the main protagonists in this and they've starred in the two subsequent games, prior to Resident Evil 6 and I'm not seeing many people complain about that. I'd much rather have Claire and Sherry within this game, since you know, their stories are actually linked.

That's true. Leon is more acceptable since he was in 4, but Chris? They should have used another character like Claire who's due for a starring role for a very long time.

Including a character I like in a game doesn't make me want to buy it, I didn't get Operation Raccoon City and I have no intention on purchasing it.

I honestly wouldn't mind Jill or Claire in the game because of the nature of the story. With multiple outbreaks happening around the world and the basic point at which the series is at where worldwide outbreaks are basically inevitable, I think it only fitting to have all the heroes pretty much involved in some way shape or form.

I don't necessarily think Claire/Jill need a playable part in the story though. They can be in mercs/versus/whatever but as far as story goes, they can play a Hunnigan role, cameo, or even something like Josh's role in Vanilla RE5 where they're 'there' but not playable and not a huge focus of the story.

I've always been a fan of the idea of kinda bringing everyone together for one big final epic battle kinda game. So with Chris, Leon, Ada, and Sherry already on the field, bringing in Claire (who would make sense given Sherry's inclusion) and Jill or something wouldn't bother me as it'd be kinda nice in a way. Hell, i wouldn't be opposed to them having a small cameo or reference to Sheva as well just so we know what's she's up to post-RE5. After all, they made a huge deal about Chris and Sheva being 'partners' in RE5 and growing trust etc. for each other. It'd be nice for them to at least acknowledge her on Chris' behalf and show he hasn't forgotten about her.

She's only 2 games shy of Chris' current count, and if she's in 6 then she's only 1 game shy of his count. Jill has been in plenty of games, especially as of late. She's just as whored out as Chris and Leon at this point.

I don't even care who is in the game anymore. I just hope they execute a storyline gracefully considering all of the characters and meetups.

But if Jill and/or Claire would like to show up naked and/or ready to kick some ass, I wouldn't mind...
