A few minutes ago, during Microsoft's E3 Conference, Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi showed off the first gameplay footage of Resident Evil 6 featuring Leon and Helena fighting a horde of zombies in China. The video included the new cover mechanic and a series of different QTE sequences.

The footage ended with the following message: "Downloadable Content first on Xbox 360", which could refer to the pre-order Mercenaries bonus maps announced some months ago.

BiohazeTV will provide you the trailer in HD once Capcom releases it to the media.

Bullets looked like they weren't having any effect like they did in recent Resident Evils. That was a concern.

I'm.. not that impressed to be honest. It looks too fast paced for my tastes, and Leon's animations look jerky. Graphics look great however, nice ambient lighting and the setting looks to have alot more atmosphere than recent games. Still, somewhat disappointed with how mindless and frenetic the gameplay appears to be however. I get this bad ORC vibe from what we've seen. Fingers crossed the game turns out well. Looks more action packed than either RE4 or 5. =/

This game looks like it's going to be very intense. I'm not even sure what I can say! So many things to think about!

I'm not impressed as well... there is/was something(s) what did bother me... or maybe I'm just having a bad day.
It just seemed like some war game (I have never played any war games like bf, COD, you name it, so this was like watching my friend playing one of those games) that gives me "not interested" feeling.
Someone mentoined about ORC, that is also game I havent play but as far as I know that one isn't much of horror game either.

Presentation and action wise etc., None of it bothered me at all. I think it actually captured the feel of a city wide zombie outbreak rather well. A huge zombie outbreak like that wouldn't be some slow paced romp. It'd be a crazy all out zombies chasing for your flesh and you hop flipping and jumping everywhere and anywhere to get the hell away and shoot like crazy at anything near you. I think the gameplay captures that essence rather well.

Only thing I'm worried about is if indeed they gameplay itself is suffering in the way ORC with poor collision detection and enemies acting like bullet sponges for a cheap and psuedo 'difficulty'.

But, I do have faith that they wouldn't let such a hugely anticipated game that they are banking a LOT of money on, fall prey to shoddy gameplay like that like ORC. RE6 is in-house. I'm quite sure they'll be putting every ounce of effort into ensuring it meets expectations and pleases the fans to ensure they get top dollar sales.

Bullets not having much effect is a good thing. Having every single bullet completely disable an enemy is pretty shit, and was a major downfall of BH4 and BH5.
