Well speaking from my own personal point of view, I would never join an establishment where weaponry is of the norm, because I don't have it in me to put myself in a situation where It is likely I would have to use it.
I would never join the army because It is not in my nature to physically fight. However if I was put in a life or death situation I would, but I would never knowingly put myself in a situation where that would happen. Alot of people could, Police, Soldiers etc and that's great that they have the ability to know that they can fight. So back to my point - Chris, Jill and Leon can and will fight because its more in their nature than in Claire's - which is clear by there professional choices. Claire can fight but only when pushed to the limit which is why she is an interesting character.

I don't think, I saw Chris, Jill and Leon fighting, because they wanted to fight, yes. Claire is the one that only fights if she has to. The thing is: she doesn't need to fight.
Getting caught in another outbreak, another coincidence... Bloody brilliant indeed.

Well lets be honest, Jill, Chris and Leon are in jobs that require carrying a gun around with them, you say they don't want to fight, but I think must, why else put yourself in a position when you need to carry a gun. Claire doesn't.
And getting caught in another outbreak, another coincidence - it can be said for every character.

They do want to fight. Take a look at Umbrella's End and Operation Javier scenarios, to Lost in Nightmares and every single mission that Chris and Jill took part. Leon, with his "I want to erradicate this virus from the face of Earth" is in the same boat.

No one makes Jill and Chris join BSAA, they joined because they wanted to fight with the bioterror.
And no, Claire is the only character that lives coincidences - the other three look for terrorists and it's only natural that they get caught on incidents.

Yes except that type of "fighting" is the fighting I mentioned doesn't count. Wanting to fight for something because you believe it's right is vastly different from simply wanting to physically fight and wanting violence. I know that in order for one to happen, the other is usually involved... But I still wouldn't like to say that they WANT the physical violence and fighting that they're exposed to. It's just something they have to tolerate in order to accomplish the ideological fights. Sorry, I couldn't think of a better word for that, it's kinda late and I may or may not be slightly buzzed.

I understood what you meant.

Anyway, the appearance of Chris, Jill and Leon and any other BSAA operative or government agent fits the way that RE series took.
Claire can't be part of that way, IMO. Another "coincidence" making her survive through would look forced, to me.
But that's exactly what some fans are asking to.

Thus why a brand new character as the protagonist of RE7 and upwards is needed. Not that age matters, but hell Chris is 40 and Leon is 36 in RE6 (holy cow, we are getting old) they've got enough experience dealing with B.OW.s and bioterrorism.

it depends how its written, if bio terrorism is world spread, and Claire is still picketing pharmaceutics that she believes were supporting umbrella/experimenting with the virus, its very likely that if a break out occured there she would get caught up in the event.

... Remember Sherry? Yeah, I forgot about her for a moment.

I'm actually coming around to the idea that the blonde could be Sherry. As much as I hate her, I'm quite interested in what the government did with her. Ashley Graham would be fitting, but Sherry would be more interesting.

Weren't Chris and Jill a few of the founders of the BSAA? If that's not passion for the cause, I don't know what is.

Are you sure? If RE6 takes place in 2008 then: Chris (born in 1973) would be 35 and Leon (born in 1977) would be 31. I don't think that's old. *shifty eyes*
I understand what you're saying about getting new blood for the series, but Capcom is already doing that with the people from Revelations and even Sheva. I think the fans will be split either way and there is NO pleasing some of them.

Game takes place in 2013, it's just the stupid typo about Raccoon City that needs to be fixed. I also don't think that's old, but damn, when we first entered the Biohazard world Chris was only 25! Those days seem so far away now.
