With me, this proves a successful first trailer. They showed me more than enough to peak my interests. I don't like tiny mysterious trailers and everything was exactly the opposite of that.

Ada's definitely there according to IGN, who gave the first details earlier today. Heard about Jill being on RE6 too. Like you say, it's just the first trailer, they won't show everything.

Uh, where did you hear that? :D

Meh. I have a hard time getting hyped for Resident Evil after what happened with Re5. Incredibly amazing trailers, decent game. And I really don't care for any of the current RE story arcs, except Ada's, so I'm hoping for some nice new villains and such.

The new characters... not sure about them yet. Did I hear Ashley Graham's voice in there, that blonde girl?

I think they could afford such a big trailer because the game has already been in development for quite some time. Every other game in the series had their first trailers released before development even really got properly underway, such as RE5.

Wonderful trailer, delighted that Kobayashi is back, although I do not recognize most of the others on the team as listed in the credits, delighted that the setting features viral outbreak in the tradition of Raccoon City albeit a tad un-original, hoping to see a choice of game-play styles between Chris & Leon, and slightly concerned as to how much emphasis will be on survival horror & away from mindless mayhem. Is that Beards Nevence from Marhawa Desire arguing with Chris !! Overall, an immense opening, with little left to the imagination. It kinda hit like a truck, with much goin' on !

Personally, I love this approach to trailers. Just get hit will all sorts of story and gameplay. It makes me want to watch the trailer over and over, ensuring something didn't get by me.

I really enjoyed the trailer. Zombies, another city outbreak ala Raccoon City, Leon and Chris in the same game, crazy shaved-head man. And I'm confident that this trailer will be quite accurate to the final product seeing as how RE6 has been in production for quite a while and not like RE5's first trailer which was pretty much at the beginning of production. Let's hope for no do-overs or release date delays!

Jumping zombies at that!

Liked what i saw. Looks like the game will be split like the RE5 DLC was, can't say i have a problem with that so long as the cover mechanic is implemented properly this time around.

Very much excited to see more of Tapwater City or whatever it was called.

They've learned from their mistakes, big time. One of Biohazard 5's biggest flaws was it's over saturated marketing scheme. Make no mistake, we'll see a lot more Biohazard 6 this year, but things are already vastly different. Biohazard 5 was shown on and off for four years, that is both too much wait time and too much dead ball era in regards to any significant excitement. The games during this gap were lackluster and did little to fuel hype for Biohazard 5 and perhaps most of all, the trailers were far too information heavy and gave away practically the entire game. Before anyone whines as to not seeing certain characters, mark my words...

Capcom is learning from their previous blunder.

This means you will not see significant surprises until down the road or perhaps even while playing the game for the first time. This is akin to old school Biohazard promotionals and the way it should be. Never mind the year wait being a killer, remember waiting for four? This is perfect. Keep the game in development, keep it under wraps and when announced have a concrete direction and progress under the belt. More so, a small wait. Less than a year is beyond small, it's like Biohazard 3 / CV all over again. Again, I can't praise enough the direction of the marketing this time around. What helps even more is that the gap filler is actually substantial. We have a mainstream title and movie leading into Biohazard 6, along with a spin off multiplayer title. The timing of the Biohazard 6 announcement lends itself to Revelations and vise versa, it's all working out perfectly.
