While no release date has been announced yet, Resident Evil Revelations has been announced to support the Nintendo's 3DS Expansion Slide Pad, an extra analog stick add-on that will hit Japanese shelves on December 10th for ¥1500 (~ $19.50).

The slide pad is hilarious, not even a year later too. Just make the console correctly the first time. They're really loosing their touch this time around. Hearing that Revelations will immediately support it too leads me to believe there may just be a Vita edition, which of course, already has a second analog stick.

Depending on how comfortable I feel playing a 3DS in all its wonky-ness, I may just need to get one of those myself!

Of course this is how the 3DS was always meant to be played, like Wii Motion Plus!

The Slide Pad attachment looks fine to me, especially as seen in this particular image. I'm not really interested in using one for Revelations, but may pick one up for Monster Hunter.

If it controls the camera I certainly will, if not for pivot step alone. It was awkwardly clunky controlling the camera via the touch screen.

Are you referring to controlling the camera in The Mercenaries 3D? I haven't played it, so I can't say whether I would agree or disagree with you. I wish they would release an updated version of the Revelations demo via the e-shop.
