Nice, nice, nice!!! Can't wait for mine to get here!!!! Still pissed about Ada's head getting cut off in the boxart, wtf. CVX looks brilliant, I noticed that maybe the cut scenes are semi real time. But my real anticipation is to play 4 and beat the game so I can revel in the goddess that is Ada Wong. LOL!

Will be getting my box tomorrow (damn customs), ready for the *weekend*. Can't believe how many HD versions of games are coming out.

Wow nice comparison videos. Can't believe how much darker CVX is. Looking forward to these immensely.

That box set looks brilliant.
CVX looks better I think, but way darker. Maybe ill turn up the brightness 1 notch.
RE4 looks better too, although I dont know how I feel about that "blur" effect if you can call it that. Not sure whats going on there. I'll have to see it in person maybe.

Some quick impressions, as the off screen obviously doesn't do either justice.

CODE: Veronica is indeed dark, but like I fathomed early on, it's akin to the lighting effect used in the Palace of the Insane save room. Remember just how good that one area looked, yet the entire game looked a bit bland and washed out? Well now every area in the game looks akin to that, albeit a little darker. I'm thinking the 360 version however will be spot on as I hear it is a little less dark, though I honestly do not mind the gamma on the PS3 version. Either way, it gives CODE: Veronica an entirely different feel. It's like faux detail in a sense, but the game always needed some more dynamic lighting and shadows. If anything that was it's biggest issue more so than detail. It really benefits from it.

Biohazard 4, I seriously just said 'wow.' Especially going from the GCN/Wii versions (which oddly enough were superior up until now). The game has always looked beautiful on SD's and CRT HD's via 480p, but since the HD era the game has always looked unimaginably grainy. It hurts. Booting up Biohazard 4 in HD is seriously an awesome experience, it shows just how much a small touch up and rendering at a higher resolution can add. The game looks near flawless. If you've played enough Biohazard 4 to compare, or even the games back to back, you will be floored. My only gripe? PS3 controller. Feels great for CODE; Veronica, but as we know this title's aiming and such was developed around the GCN. Due to the analog positioning, it's never quite certain if you should be using the d-pad or analog to shoot and both are equally as bad for this game. In fact, it felt a little worse than the PS2 version (perhaps because these are Wii ports). Even with the analog aiming, it felt like it was in small 'click' increments instead of free flowing. Again, the 360 version may reign on top due to this issue. Of course with some play time, one could certainly get used to it.

Either way, both games look and play beautifully. Whichever version you end up with, it'll be a revitalizing experience.
