Kotaku has posted a list of 26 3DS titles releasing this year. The list was given to people who have pre-ordered the Nintendo 3DS on GameStop shops across the US.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D will be released on July 6, 2011 and will cost $39.99.

That's a big dissapointment. I was hoping one of the Resident Evil games would be availble at launch. ehh.... oh well. :(

^Better late than never. At least you now have a date to work around, where as some games don't even have an official release announced yet. They just say TBA 2011 or some shit.

Fair enough, means i've got a fucking age yet to bother getting round to buying a 3DS. By which time the better launch titles will have at least shed a few dollars.

If this isn't out till July then it begs the question of just how long do we have to wait for Revelations. Will it even be this year??

It's why I like the Xbox 360. Many games that are on PS3 are on 360 too, so it means I don't have to fork out a shit load of cash on another console just to play games. In this day and age of bloody annoying bills and what comes across as main priority, one really has to concentrate on importance over leisure.

Unless there was plenty of games out on it that I liked, and they were not out on another format, then yeah, maybe I'd consider going out of my way to purchase one. But I don't work, so it would take months to save up the money. The only game I really wanted to try on a PS3 is Siren: Blood Curse, so to buy a PS3 just for that one game would be relatively pointless.

Thing with 3DS is that it's going to be the tip of the iceberg around release date. It will be expensive and those who have the dough put aside will flock to buy it. But the thing is, I have never been fond of tiny screens, although the GameBoy was cool in its day, and hand held machines do have a large following in their own right. And I'm maybe not being fair about my comments regarding the size of it. Probably just me being biased again. However, I am skeptical about them porting it to the Wii or something. I'd love to give the 3DS a chance, as it looks impressive and in keeping with 3D technology. However, the steep price is putting me off.

They said Silent Hill: Origins was only going to be released on the PSP. Then it ended up Konami ported it to the PS2, albeit with poorer graphics. But a port just the same.

I'm not really wanting to buy a 3DS for one or two games, and then a year later, they port the games, so I need to buy it twice. You know how Capcom has a habit of re-releasing RE games and adding in stuff like Separate Ways, etc, to make you pay up again.

I don't know. Maybe if Revelations is getting more good buzz in 4 months from now, I may change my mind...

If Revelations gets ported, I'm cutting my head off.
