I was all excited until I read Leon would be the star again. I mean obviously I'll see it, and I'm sure it'll be good like Degen was, but, why not give another RE char a turn in the CGI film world? What about Billy or Carlos or Rebecca, hell even Barry if not Jill and Chris?

I mean I highly dislike Degen Leon but that's not really the reason I was dissapointed. It's just that for these films, I think we'd all like to get a chance to see different RE chars take part in them. And Leon already had his turn. So it would have been nicer for the films to show what's going on in the lives of the various RE chars rather than keep focusing on one char.

Oh well though, I'll still see it and it'll probably be pretty good like Degen was. HAS to be better than the Anderson films at least. So good news overall, just meh at Leon again. But, as someone said, Ada will probably be in this time which is always a plus.

This looks promising, yet it doesn't bug me a bit that Leons in it, just wish Ada would show up for once.

Leon is really the only character with any lingering plot threads to resolve, i.e. Ada and The Organization. Chris and Jill were basically retired in RE5 (unless Revelations takes place after it, but even then, with Wesker and Spencer gone, what more is there for them to do of import?), and Degeneration showed that Claire no longer fights.

I know Degeneration was essentially a one and done story with little relevance to the overall series from a plot perspective, and in all likelihood, Damnation will be no different. However, having Leon in the lead at least opens the possibility to some resolution regarding the series' biggest remaining questions. Whether or not we actually get any kind of resolution to the Ada/Organization subplot remains to be seen, as we really know nothing about Damnation other than the fact that it exists, but there's certainly a better chance than there would be if the movie starred Barry or Rebecca.

Great news, but wait... why Leon again? They should have left him for RE6. I really hope Knuckles is wrong ahaha =P

Just because Leon is the main character in it doesn't mean the others won't be in it also. It's about time we had Chris and Leon fight alongside each other. And with Leon's past reputation with the ladies I wonder how he would react when he meets Jill?

I'd love to see a buddy cop movie-style game or cg movie starring Leon and Chris. Operation: Javier is probably the closest we'll ever get to something like that, though.

I'll inevitably download this when it leaks, it certainly won't see any money out of me after how bad Degeneration was.

People who whine about Leon would do well to remember that without Leon's Resident Evil 4 you probably wouldn't have the Resident Evil 5 that you all seem to worship so much. Resident Evil was on it's stagnating last legs until that game hit.

Ah, the Avengers. Captain America is currently filming in Manchester now. I had a walk through the set the other day, and it is slowly being transformed into 1940's New York. I will definitely be down there next week when they film a car chase involving a tank and lots of explosions and gunfire!

As for Damnation I don't think it will have much of a theatrical run. But if that is what Capcom is planning then it's already an odds-on bet that it will be a stand-alone film and not a mythology expander. Causal audiences won't have a fucking clue about Ada and The Organization after all.

Personally I like Leon, not particularly Degen Leon, but he, Claire and Ada were the first characters that I came to know in the series, so I have an affinity for them. I do agree, however that he is getting to be just a tad jammed down the throats of the community at large. I mean, he had re4 then Degen, then Degen the game and re4 clones out the rear and finally Darkside.

As I said he is one of my more favorite characters but even I am getting just a bit overloaded on Leon. I would like to see him in another film, but only if it means he's sharing the camera with Ada or as Bats said Chris in a partner flick. I'd also like to see cameos of others we have yet to see since the beginning. I could do with seeing just an appearance and maybe just a 30 second update on what Barry, Rebecca, Billy and Carlos have been doing since their respective brushes with death. The only reason that I can come up with that they have not been seen since, is because Capcom just feels they don't have as big of an impact or need to be in future installments.
