Have you missed the point why Capcom made this? Because of Jill. And you're right about the episodes are not about Jill in particular, but the whole DLC of DE and LiN are about her. And if you still don't get it, I won't try to explain it anymore.

OT: I find the guy who talks in the uploaded movie is annoying. Almost thursday, then we can see the thing about Jill.

Okay... Capcom made these episodes because fans hav unanswer questions on the orginal RE5 just like, how come jill can contact Chris in capter 6-3 and how did jill and josh got a helicopter and managed to help chris and sheva at the end... so i think is not mainly about jill...

OK, you have a point there. But if people didn't request to play with Jill, the chances of these episodes would come would be less. And that's only for Desperate Escape, as Lost in Nightmares wouldn't come up I think, since the reason of Chris and Jill being in the mansion is already told in 3-1.

Enfin, to answer your post: Maybe Capcom would've figured something else. Like someone her on the forum said there would be a rumour about Excella being playable in the things she had to do for Wesker, to prove she's worthy. Guess we'll never know, since these episodes have come anyway.

okay here is my opinion, Capcom did both LiN and DE were to answer fans questions... thts why... capcom didn't do these especailly for Jill's fans... or excella fans or josh fans or whoever...

thts wot i believe anyway ... also capcom did wot fans wanted in the MERU. putting josh, excella, barry and rebecca as playable characters in MEFU...
