If you play co-op, Jill is technically playable from the start. I assume there is an option for single player as well.

I'm not sure, it could be possible that she's playable from the beginning, like I said: I haven't played LiN yet, so I have no facts about Jill being playable. Or like dvader said: You would play her from the beginning in co-op, but that's normal, since you can play with Sheva from the beginning in co-op in the main game. I say I hope she's playable from the beginning in single player. If not, I'll play together with my boyfriend, he plays Chris then.

I really hope that she is playable from the beginning. I don't want to waste two hours with Chris and then play the whole game again.

I believe so, the main game had that feature. Though, I think it's more probable to have bullet-proof vests in Desperate Escape because of it's action style.

Dude seriously, "bring the character Jill Valentine back in a playable form" does NOT translate to "Jill Valentine is the star of LiN and is the main char you play as with Chris as your AI partner." nor does it imply any speculation on that behalf in any way whatsoever. ALL it means is that you CAN play as Jill in the scenario which by means of co-op, yes you can. Just like Sheva is a PLAYABLE character in RE5 but is an AI in single player until you beat the game once. Can Jill be a selectable char from the start or unlockable after a first run through? Sure. None of us know for sure but anything's possible. Does that article give any kind of speculation or indication towards that answer in any way however? No.

I have no problem with you personally but it gets annoying everytime someone posts something new about this alls you do is post complaining about it and making negative remarks. And now you go and complain about LiN not being that great and is stupid because Jill isn't playable from the start? How is not having Jill from the start taking away from the game being great in of itself?

My fav char is Chris but if I had to play as Jill with chris as my partner I wouldn't be sitting here complaining about it because the game itself would still be great. I didn't care for Sheva when she was first announced and wasn't thrilled to have her tagging along with me during RE5 yet I didn't complain about her nor did I mind her as my partner, and it didn't detract from the game whatsoever. And by the end of RE5, I had grown more fond of Sheva and didn't mind her at all.

In RE3, I wanted to play with Carlos much more than Jill yet Carlos only got a 20 minute at best segment while the rest of the game was about Jill. I didn't mind one bit despite preferring to play as Carlos. Despite playing as Jill over Carlos, RE3 is one of my favorite RE's of all time and I quite like the game. Playing as Jill instead of Carlos did not detract from my enjoyment of the game :P

So again I say, just relax, wait for the game and enjoy it. Stop being so negative and all the Jill fanboys/fangirls need to relax just as well (in general, on capcom-unity, gamefaqs, and here. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much drama over lack of STARS Jill, lack of Jill in Mercenaries, lack of starting playable Jill, Lack of RE3 Jill costume, lack of bird lady costume, and now apparently lack of Xena Jill costume? Seriously............)

Jill has gotten MORE than enough love with these new DLC packs that there is honestly no reason to complain. You could 'wish' or 'hope' for extra stuff if you so choose, but, certainly no reason to complain about lack of Jill love or get upset/pissed about it like so many people have been all over the damn internet...........

The funniest part of the complaining is that there's really no reason to be complaining about it, if she's selectable in single player or not doesn't matter at all when you can just play with a friend co-op like the game is mostly intended and play as her that way. >_>

My first playthrough of RE5 ever was as Sheva, and I enjoyed it just fine.

I gotta agree with Ikari, the doctor needs to prescribe some chill pills else the Jilluminado tide destroy us.

I mean yes of course, the Ideal situation is that we pick her first because we haven't been able to play as her in a 'mission' for quite some time in this way. So yes could it be a little aggravating if they dont allow us to play her as single player right away....okay a tiny bit aggravating, and i mean tiny.

In the grand scheme of things, there is nothing to be picky about now. play it and she will be unlocked. Go online and she is yours right away. Overall there has been a little too much whining about Jill. There is a fine line between making points and hopes and such, but there is a heck of a lot of Jill toss outs coming for very cheap. Two whole scenarios to play with her in them, likely very fun and what not.

I mean come on, aren't we missing something? Think of the Wesker fans!#$#% lol. No mercenaries reunion character, nor any scenario with him....and we miss him so dear.

Just relax, wait til its out, enjoy it and enjoy the jill splendidness that comes with it.
