This is a super late response, but that's how he found out about Wesker, right? In terms of actually getting in touch with him, I'm sure Wesker's people in the government were instrumental in actually getting the two to meet.

Otherwise, if Krauser could have found out where Wesker was easily, then Chris could have as well.
