Has anyone ever noticed that pretty much every helicopter pilot seen in the Resident Evil games dies?

For example

Resident Evil 0/1-Kevin Dooley.
Resident Evil 2-The pilot who attempts to save the Officer on the RPD helipad
Resident Evil 3-The Pilot Nemesis shoots down at the clocktower.
Resident Evil 3-Brad dies.
Resident Evil Code Veronica-Not really any helicopter pilots here, but if you consider all those planes that Alfred crashed in the Antarctic, then there's a bunch.
Resident Evil 4-Mike gets shot down
Resident Evil 5-Kirk gets attacked and crashes,
Resident Evil 5 DE-Doug, who dies saving Josh and Jill dies.
Spoiler:
That female pilot dies in Revelations

Haha, just something funny i noticed. Pretty much if your attempting to fly a helicopter in an RE game and your not a main character, your boned.

Anyone else notice some tropes in the series?

Hmm, only women seem to be able to pick locks in the series. All the men can do is modify weapons and blow shit up...kind of an odd pattern.

Ah yes! Helicopter pilot equals death. Chronologically Brad and Kirk's deaths were inevitable. Another tradition is the redshirt armies and secondary characters who's sole purpose is to add to the body count. Code Veronica began the tradition of annoying subordinate villains to the big bad. CVX had Alfred, RE4 had Salazar and RE5 had Irving.

I've played the game a few times but I don't remember any such character. Care to refresh my memory?

I believe it's when that giant monster appears on the Queen Zenobia right before Chris and Jill get evacuated. I remember seeing two helicopter pilots and the one getting attacked by the thing

Huh, must have missed that; I thought Kirk's chopper was the only one there. I'll have to look for it next time.

She was an evil criminal mastermind, one of the greatest thieves ever, and she was totally dedicated to teaching you about the world and stuff. Carmen’s like some sort of highly educated, highly capable female Riddler, where instead of leaving you weird puzzles about doors not being doors, she leaves you notes telling you she’s going to be hanging out in Stalin’s birthplace.
