A while ago, I noticed that RE5 was nominated for the MPSE (Motion Pictures Sound Editors) award for computer entertainment. The event is on the 20th so I figured I'd post it here just in case I forget and the game wins.

Tough competition from Uncharted 2 and Batman AA. I thought the audio design in those two were superior (and incidentally both support LPCM 7.1 on the PS3)

Capcom has confirmed the Japan-only Biohazard 5: Alternative Edition will use the light wand- and PlayStation Eye camera-based control scheme. (The Western version of the Alternative Edition, March's Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, will not support the new technology.)
