Because I would never make a topic unless THIS:

Firstly, I don't think I've ever been as excited about ANY game since I was 9 and Spyro 2 came out.
Also, I wasn't sure if there WAS a thread for this, but I can't help myself being a HUGE fan of the first game. My knowledge of the RE series is jack shit, compared to how much I've looked into the first game. So: I'll go ahead and get to the point.

Is anyone else REALLY excited and an actual fan of the game? Any converts?

Never was a fan of Devil May Cry, it wasn't a generation of Gameplay or Storyline that I was used to. Seemed just too much to pay attention to, in fear of getting too attached. I found Bayo 1 for PS3 in the bargain bin, like a drug, I got hooked and had to kick the habit after the 9th play-through. I won't get into the first one, but it's more of a speculation and discussion that I'd love to entertain.

I'm trying to get all of my thoughts through about this, but I am way too excited and can't find any of my chills pills, but..

Loved Bayo's new hair style, I am WAY par to beautiful women who have a short cut- Jeanne actually looks like a "witch" now with her long hair. "Wicked Weave Attacks" seemed really off the top and with her short hair, one would wonder if it's equally symbolic to the power of her short hair or...But she looks Stronger this time around.

The calm-collected Bayonetta seems like she actually has a weakness now. In the first game, nothing could get her in a ruffle- except herself, literally speaking. (Cereza) But Jeanne just has to play a strong role, because the two of them seem unbeatable-

Gomorrah. Holy fucking Shit. My favorite summon in fruition. I also got a glimpse of my other Angelic Favorite, Fortitudo. Very happy about this because it hits home with Dragons for me. So it's a personal opinion on the coolest creature.

Wii-U exclusive? NOPE. So much nope here. It just can't remain that way as the crew didn't seem to want anything to do with Nintendo the first time around. But with no production money, they partnered- while still being overseen by Sega to an extent. That's just what I had gathered so far...
I mean, my little brain just can't comprehend this bullshit.

Other than the usual amazing environments, entertaining characters, and breath-taking creatures that creatively captivate you and your console, I can't think this game will go wrong. At all. I may be over-excited, I may be in my own little world here and incorrect in any developmental aspects, BUT, that's okay Because when am I ever right anyway?

DISCUSS. Fucking, I don't know- ANYONE.

It's among a select few games that are swaying me to buy a Wii U. It doesn't come out till next year so I can wait before I purchase another console. Hopefully, there will be a price drop by then.

I'll be honest, I was one of the consumers who bought the WII for Umbrella Chronicles (and was happy Dark-Side Chronicles had come out) but was not inclined to buy other titles such as Monster Hunter 3, WII Mario Brothers, Paper Mario, DK Country, Just Dance, etc, ect because not only are those games not interesting enough to drop $49.99+. Luckily I sold the WII for full price and made my money back, keeping the two RE games as collectibles.

Fooled me once.

Wasn't AS stupid this time, got my Nintendo 3DS with Mercs for $50 bucks and paid full price for Revelations. Same-case Scenario.

As EXCITED as I am for Bayonetta 2, it's just not going to work this time. With my budget and priorities and sinking 3,000 bucks for a ring- I just don't have the time nor the money to be recklessly indulgent anymore. Breaks my heart but...

I'm ready to see the person who buys the XBOX ONE for Dead Rising 3 and then doesn't buy anymore titles. There here somewhere.

Also, I had started this picture when I first played the game- never finished it...but I frickin loved the bad ass that was the Cardinal Virtue of Fortitude. Sorry for bad quality.

Ah. See, I love the Wii (and Gamecube) even if my gaming library isn't as big as PS3. And while HD versions of RE4, and the Chronicles are great in their own way (own both Wii and PS3 versions) I prefer the wiimote over playstation move controller in terms of motion control game play.

As far as Resident Evil goes it's worth mentioning that fans who never had a gamecube could get Wii versions of REmake and RE Zero. Two classic Resident Evil experiences that any fan should play. I also stand firmly by the belief that the Wii version of RE4 is still the best way to play the game.

Now back to Bayonetta (apologies for the RE derail). I was as shocked as anyone when I heard Bayo2 was on Wii U. I thought for sure it would go on PS3/360 or be saved for next gen. Still, it seems Platinum and Nintendo are supporting each other, and thus we get two Wii U titles from them so far. One a sequel and one a new IP. Both with the participation of Hideki Kamiya who acts as director of Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 as supervisor. Loved his first Bayo game and he is no stranger to Resident Evil either.

The team at Platinum are also the best at their craft giving me Shinji Mikami's Vanquish as well as an impressive Metal Gear spin off.

So I'm keeping an eye out for where they're taking their games because in the end the main thing that can determine which console I buy is the games. And it doesn't hurt that I still have a soft spot for Nintendo's first party games. I'm very excited to get Smash Bros. for my 3DS and try out Mega Man in it. They are also the only new console released that has backwards compatibility so your copies of the Resident Evil Chronicles won't have to collect dust now that you've sold your Wii.

But just what we've seen so far I love how the game still looks like it follows the same game play as the first one. In this day and age it's good to see the core game play remain among the new additions added. I love Bayonetta's new look (and Jeanne's for that matter).

The only skepticism I have for the time being is how the game will play with a stylus. It's optional, but I'm still curious as to how an action heavy game like Bayonetta will handle in that way.

The first one is a great title, and I was looking forward to a follow up. Never going to buy the WiiU though, Nintendo is dead inside. Seems very strange that a deal with the standard consoles could not be met, I was under the impression Sega canned it and Nintendo picked it up, but there's the same blue logo as before.

I agree, even if if the WII-U was announced before I had sold my WII, I still wouldn't have invested in the U, backwards compatibility included. Just not worth it to pay money...just to pay money again for something I already paid money for.

But there is NO doubt in my mind that this title will be even better than the first.

I played the shit out of the first one, and I like her new look. It looks sexy and cute(I still have a huge crush on her and I want a Bayonetta/Devil May Cry crossover, but it can never happen. But damn it I can dream  ). I want to cont. to play the game's story which is great.

 I'm digging the new look as well. I had to get used to it for a second or two, but I actually dislike Jeanne's new long hair. Looks too old now. And the DMC and Bayo crossover is something I've been hearing of a lot. You're not the only one who wants it. XD But yes, I am hoping the story is connected to the previous game. So much potential.

Some parts are not fun in the first game, like when you're flying in the rocket/plane/whatever, or a boss battle drags on for a long time, etc. But I like the fluid gameplay.
