So my ps3 fucking broke today. What luck. Just get my 360 squared away after it's hiatus from being busted and now the 5 month old ps3 shits itself out? WTF.

Was playing little big planet 2 and finished up and hit quit game from the XMB menu. Get a black screen that stays there. I reset the ps3, black screen on startup. Unplug all wires, plug back in, black screen on startup. I use the video reset trick, black screen on startup. try getting into safe mode on the ps3, black screen on startup.

TV's fine and works fine. Unplugged the HDMI and put it into my 360 to see if it was the cable. Loaded up my 360 just fine no problems. So somethings up with the ps3. The ps3 turns on fine and dandy, but can't see anything but a black screen.

I'm so frustrated at the moment because I'm sick of these friggin consoles breaking on me. Had the xbox bust twice already. Had to send it in for repair the first time and had to buy a new xbox the second time. Now the ps3 wants to start shit? WTF is this.

I think this happened to my friend. His HD port had broken, and he couldn't see things on the HD. Try using non-HD cables, and see if that works

Don't have non-HD cables for the ps3. Or if they came with the ps3, no idea where they are.

In any event, left the ps3 and tv off for a half hour or so and had the hdmi cable unplugged from the ps3 and in the xbox during that time. Xbox wasn't on though. Came back and tried it again for the hell of it and it works now.

TV was really hot before so maybe the cable just overheated or something? Not sure. It's working fine now though so I'm happy at least.

Hopefully that doesn't happen again.

I just replayed Spyro the Dragon on my PS3. It was on sale for $2.99 and a really nice trip back to my childhood. That game has some surprising challenges in it. No wonder I never beat it when I was 8.

Took me about 10 hours on a speed run to get at 100%. So glad you can download classics from PS1 to PS3!

I remember back in junior high school when Spyro first came out and they had the commercials with those sheep saying boycott spyro.

I found it funny for some reason and despite never having played the game, I made a petition to "boycott spyro" and got more than half of my entire junior high to sign it. I don't think any of them even understood what they were signing.

I have no idea why I even did it other than I found it funny and the more people I got to sign such an absurd thing the funnier it got.

Only one girl out of everyone who signed it bothered to question what she was signing and thought I was nuts when I told her. But she still signed anyway lol.

Its funny to think back at the stupid shit you do as a kid lol.

Anyway yea, the spyro thing just reminded me of that.

Dear lord, I actually completely lucked out on it. It was the LAST level I went back and did other than the free flight levels. I even enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd ones. Any Spyro after that was just awful, so I think a download of the other two are in order.

@Ikari: It was definitely a blast to the past. I'm really starting to appreciate that stupid shit as a kid now. I was playing Spyro and my friend comes in like "What the hell are you even doing." Gotta love it.
