He didn't work on this game though and still has a new copy of it sitting somewhere waiting to be played.

Oh I still think AA was the more coherent of the two. But AC's sheer scope can be more immersive and I thoroughly enjoyed the new abilities, ESPECIALLY the dive bomb and improved glide kick. Technical issues on either versions are indeed negligible. I still think it's one the best looking games out there because of the art direction. The museum for example is utterly gorgeous.

Onto to AA on 360.

LOL. Well I won't ask him anything then. But you and I can tell him he has to play it. :p Finished it 100% this morning in anycase.

As for AC, I looked and I didn't finish NG+ and I have yet to touch the challenge maps at all I think, so I'll get back to it at some point down the track. Finished everything else though.

Cool. Fairly easy and even enjoyable platinum.

NG+ is an odd monster in AC given that it ups the difficulty and since it's still a 30 fps game, the counters don't work that well for me at all. I've yet to finish the side missions so I'll likely do that on both versions sometime until late March.

Now onto some interesting bits about PSN. First off, it sucks that there is an IP block now with different regions given that Rival Schools JUST hit the JPN PSN :/ The bigger news is that the abundance of PS2 games on the PAL stores now in contrast to the US store. For once, you guys aren't getting the shaft.

IP block? Can you elaborate on that? It is the first time I'm hearing about that.

I looked into the issue, and it looks like it's standard fair from before. You just can't use an foreign card on a Japanese account etc. Luckily PSN cards would so I'll get one Friday and download Rival Schools.

Fare. I think that's the spelling when used in that context.

Rival Schools on my hard drive? Awwwwwwww yeah.

If only that game had online, if only... I'm calling more rage than MvC2.

@SG - Mostly easy and enjoyable yes, although playing through the whole game 3 times in 1 week... the final playthough was a bit of a grind, mostly due to the fact you can't skip cutscenes. Obviously the game could have done with a NG+ mode.

As for the PS2 games, well problem is that while yes, they've piled on the releases, they're mostly not that great and secondly it fails in comparison to the PS1 games releases on the reverse. The number of top titles on the US store (and even Japan) is massive compared to the crap amount on the PAL store. And even when they're on one PAL store is no requirment to if they're at all regions (REDC is on the UK store for example, but no luck finding it in Australia or NZ currently!).

Additionally one PS2 game that is on the US store but not on the PAL one yet is Konami's Ring of Red, which was one of the first games I purchased on the PS2 (alongside Konami's Shadow of Memories/Destiny) and foolishly sold. It had such a great story and I'd love to replay it sometime.

My purchase from Australia turned up, the MGS HD Limited Edition. It wasn't sold here due to the fact the art book was non-classified (but was a frickin great art book it is). I'm currently playing the God of War Collection II set, so MGS HD will be next.

Only if Dreamcast had a hard drive.
