Totally awesome!!! New Uncharted game for the win. Definitely day one purchase.

OMG the gameplay is sick. Although the whole touch thing is kind of defeating the purpose of the controllers but ok. I'm all over that game like white on rice. Hopefully this will give Capcom some more incentive to continue with the re psp edition.

Meh. Looks like a great system, but I'll wait for some good games that aren't ports, and a price announcement. For now I'll be getting the 3DS over this.

A bit confusing since many 3DS games are ports: Star Fox 64 3D (N64), Snake Eater 3D (PS2), Super Street Fighter IV 3D (360/PS3), The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time 3D (N64), Nintendogs + Cats 3D (DS), Splinter Cell 3D (PS2, Xbox), Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time 3D (Wii, DS), Pro Evolution Soccer 3DS (aka PES 11 360/PS3), Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 3D (DS), Tales of the Abyss (PS2)

didn't they mention flash memory carded games? unless they meant it only for downloads.
it would still be their best of interest to get physical game just for retailers to even sell their system (remember pspgo?? :P)

so far, the best part is that its easier to port ps3 games over.
which give dev and publisher a buy 1 get 2 deal.
sealing the deal on developing games on ps3 then later port to ngp for portable. gaining console+portable markets is a win win situation.
thats sort of the reason for multiplatform anyway right?

Just want to point out that Killzone, Resistance, Little big Planet and Unacharted are BRAND NEW games and not PS3 ports (new campaign, new developers ecc), while MGS4 is just a tech demo and not the actual MGS that Kojima is developing for the PSP2.

Yes, many 3DS games are ports. But it's very clear that almost all first party Nintendo franchises will be getting a new game on the 3DS, not to mention both Resident Evil games. So far I haven't seen anything on the PSP2 that I wouldn't rather just play on my Ps3. I'm sure there's some great games waiting to be announced, but for now, not interested.

And the new LBP will be inferior to LBP2 simply because it'll be a handheld version of LBP2. It might have a new campaign, but it's highly doubtful it'll bring anything really new to the table. Take LBP PSP for example. Not a port of LBP, but essentially an inferior version of the same game.

hello, have you read my previous post? You CAN'T play those games on your PS3, they are 100% brand new games for NGP, for example Uncharted (exact title has yet to be announced) will be developed by Sony Bend and it will feature a brand new campaign with its own story, same for Killzone and Resistance.

Anyway, you're right about the the PSP version, but talking about LBP for NGP I'd rather call it alternative version than inferior, you know NGP is not the PSP, it will feature trophies, sixasis sensors, online playing, audio chat, a second analog stick... just as the PS3! The only differences? Graphics, but you can play on the go even online taking advance of the 3G connection and also try different controls, so I wouldn't call it inferior.

Yeah, I read your post. I can't really comment on those games because I haven't played them, but I'd be willing to bet they're essentially the same as their Ps3 counterparts with a new campaign, which I'm not interested in. It's personal preference at this level, and the 3DS just has more games I'm interested in.

Now if they show me some videos of new games that are radically different from their Ps3 predecessors, and just more new games in general, I'd start to get interested. For now, I have no need for a portable Ps3.

They're franchise games, so they're not necessarily going to be rehashed versions on a portable but we haven't seen anything aside from tech demos from third parties. Objectively, I think the 3DS and this thing are pretty much on the same level library wise since we've just seen established franchises continued on them (some of which are literally rehashes on the 3DS *Mercs, SSFIV, RR etc.).

Tech-wise, sure, they're both exciting but library-wise... not so much. I'd still rather stick to console for the occasional thrill or grand experience.
