Yeah, DR2's 72,000 zombie kills was a pain. I stuffed it up the first time not realizing I could have taken more time from the firebomb counter before heading into overtime. The first time I went for the amount I got 66,318 or some such. Had I used the several hours up my sleeve in firebomb time I would have done it the first time, sadly I had to replay from scratch as I saved over the last save once in OT. The most annoying trophy of all was the TIR TK's Favorite's one though, because you have to come first in all 9 events... which is a challenge, but then they're so random it takes a long time for the ones you need to sometimes appear.

For Batman, I really didn't mind the bosses too much, you're right it was a lot of repetition in places (dodge Titan's or deal with henchmen) but I guess given everything else in the game it sat alright as you mentioned. As I said but to explain further, the Ivy thing just seemed broken because your training through the game to maximize hits through combos, except to do that with her vines coming up means you just kept "leaping" to attack the next enemy in it already.

City definently looks ambitious, but the thing about Batman's villan gallery and how it is handled in Asylum means hints of enemies or nods to them thus far may not mean we'll actually see all of them still. Obviously there is returning ones, but I expect we'll end up surprised. Sequels are always difficult, I really think though showing how much was good about the first game they'll not fail horribly with this.

OMG... I don't think I've ever had such a challenge as these Batman AA challenge maps. I've managed freeflow perfection (using all 9 moves in one combo) and racked up a 40+ moves combo (got to 50 to be exact) but getting 24 medals total based on score, 3 per map, is going to be painful. I've seen some talented people online kill the game, but I don't think I could ever get that good.

It's no DMD mode in DMC1-4 (excluding 2) or NG, but it's definitely doable. I'm pretty much the only person on my friend's list who hasn't got a platinum in the game

I haven't tried all challenge maps to be honest, but regarding the combat ones specifically, they're hindered for me by the game's control responsiveness. At times, they feel like slow motion controls, and the combat just isn't compelling. I wonder if the PC version running at 60fps would be better.

I remember I had a hard time with the predator mission in the generator area with the rigged gargoyles. Definitely not a walk in the park, and took a few tries.

I don't know about that. Indeed DMD mode was really hard, but at least it was consistant. As you mention I seem to find Batman's fighting combat quite inconsistant becuase of slow motion and the like. The direction pushed for the next attack is also sometimes fickle and doesn't exactly go where you think it will. It works fine for the game itself, but this mode it's definently something to struggle against. You can play one round and do really well, but then play the next the same way and it'll turn against you quickly. Due to this I'm stuggling. The map that is giving me real issues though is the Shock And Awe one because it's timed. The others I can take my time with at least. Maybe it really is just practice practise practise. :)

I have only 4 trophies to get to platinum (technically 5, but I'll get that for getting the other 4). I'll probably keep trying for the next few days and get what I can, then maybe give it a break for a short bit and come back to it again in a month or so.

Just a matter of getting used to the controls responsiveness or lack thereof through grinding. Everyone I know who got the platinum stink at action games in general, and I guess the one button affair helped there.

I'm just gonna play through a few games, and work on getting the NGS2 platinum. I'm three away but mission mode's hardest missions are basically one hit deaths... and they happen to be successive boss fights with regular enemy intermissions.

All right, Black Ops is out!
The Nazi Zombie Mode looks great, and the new monsters are interesting.

The Nazi Zombie portion of Black Ops takes place around the 70's (I forget when) and as you can see in the third video, you can play as Fidel Castro, President Richard Nixon, John F Kennedy, and RobertMcnamara... How appealing...

How ironic rombie, I just finished trying to get the 72,000 kills achievement and got about the same amount of kills as you. Really annoying, I don't want to drive around in the SUV forever again...
