There was a time I was hyped for RE. They killed that with this racoon city crap and 3DS crap. Bionic Commando one of my fave NES games. They ruined that in 2009 with wife arms. Then they are now destroying Devil May Cry. Oh and closinf down Clover Studios.

Capcom,Konami,Square the whole big name lost has lost thier marbles.
There is a great reason(s) why the biggest names have left these companies.

Hell 20% of Capcom profits come from one man and now he quit buying from Capcom after this.
http://en-gb.facebook.com/people/Rob-Ma ... 68?sk=wall

I'm not expecting Capcom to bring it back despite the crying but Capcom has lost many customers including me from ever buying thier games again. We may not make any difference but it stands as Capcom the money I was going to give to you for future SF,MvC,RE,MM & Asuras Wrath has been Cancelled as your company has not met criteria.

I will give my money to those who deserve it like Falcom,Xseed,Suda51,Platinum Games,Level-5 etc etc.

I loved you capcom for over 20 years but there comes a time one must split ties.

RIP The Awesome Capcom.

I don't know man, it's sad when these things happen and you are left with a bitter taste in your mouth. Guess I just don't take games that seriously anymore...

... yeah, I think proof reading posts should be mandatory. He's just taking this waaaaay too seriously. With that 20 year comment, I really hope he's not in his early 30's

If most of us took that approach, then we'd be hard pressed to continue gaming. Capcom did many questionable decisions, both creatively and commercially (RE GC bit in 2001, SFII milking etc.) but they have fans because the content is still solid.

No need to insult me SG and yes I have been playing since Atari.(also sometimes have trouble typing as I have health problems make me shake)
See this reflects the same sentiments when Sega went through its shit era and Sega fans desperately defended Sega(Shenmue Dojo).
At least Sega is slowly Snapping out of it but Capcom is even worse than Sega was.

Gaming may just be hobbies to some but it's a huge part of my life(beyond measure) and I feel as a fan and customer betrayed. I am very loyal until I'm betrayed as a customer & Fan. Other fish in the sea.
I'm not the only one.
If you watch Happy Console Gamer.

It is with a sense of grim distaste that I must inform you that this final bad step has cost you a lifelong fan.

I have been a devout follower of your games for as long as you have graced home consoles, but over the last several years you have begun a self destructive downward spiral. I kept faith in you as long as I could, being sure that it was "just a phase" and that things would "turn the corner soon".

Your cancellation of the MegaMan Legends 3 project is the last straw. You have truly lost touch with your fans and the vision that made your company great.

Before I start on this latest mistake, lets just take a look at the road that led us here. I can only pray that you might find some valuable insight here that can start you on a path to redemption, but I fear it is far too late for that.

Capcom was on top of the game (no pun intended) when the decision came down to close Clover Studio, arguably one of the best and most original studios ever to breathe life into games. This was followed by the loss of both Hideki Kamiya (Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Devil May Cry) and Shinji Mikami (Father of Resident Evil).

At this point the quality of games from this once powerhouse studio started to slip. Latter Resident Evil titles have not held the same soul, Devil May Cry became a horribly broken mess by part 4 and the reboot will not be given any kind of acknowlegement from me.

The games that have been released have been hollow shells of the glory years, used as cash grabs at nostalgiac fans to milk them for every penny possible. From games that recieved DLC that really should have been a part of the game from the start (MegaMan 9 and 10 had characters that really could have been included in the main game and not charged extra for) to the whole "Street Fighter Syndrome" (Super Mega Hyper Ultra Street Fighter IV Mega Arcade Impact. Download the Costume packs next week!!!!), and the broken promises (Loyal fans who purchase Super Street Fighter IV Arcade edition at retail will recieve ALL current costume packs and DLC *right on the disc*!!!).

The near mortal blow came when they finally pushed their greatest member from their ranks. Inafune-Sama, who had displayed patience beyond measure, was feeling frustrated with his failed attempts to re-ignite the passion of Japanese studios and developers and finally left the studio that had been his home for his entire career.

There was, however, one last glimmer of hope. Inafune-Sama's legacy. His final love note to his fans. A game that had been begged for, prayed for and hoped for over the many long years. Finally we would get Legends 3.

In an unprecedented move, Capcom opened it's virtual doors to the fanbase and created a one of a kind, never before seen development process. The Dev Room. A chance for fans to help shape the game, share input, and watch as the game came together.

The community rallied around this banner, taking on ServeBot numbers, creating art and designs and sharing the genuine passion that only true fans can. The excitement was palpable. Here, finally, was the Capcom we knew and loved, giving the fans not only the game they had sought for so long, but also an inside look at it that no other studio would even dare to give.

I think it was this, more than anything else, that made the blow that much worse. I can only liken it to that Youtube video where the kid is sitting by the tree on Christmas morning and unwraps a gift and finds an XBOX 360 box under the paper. His excitement was verging on euphoria. Then he opened the box and found a nice new winter jacket inside while his parents laughed at their wonderful joke. The kid broke down into tears.

This is exactly what you have done to us Capcom. You promised us the best present EVER, handed us the box and let us fill our hearts with hope and joy. When we opened the box and found it empty, you just shrugged and said a half hearted "Sorry".

That is the last straw, the combo breaker for our souls.

I will never stop loving the MegaMan series (as it stands to this point), or any of the other classic series of the golden age of Capcom.

However, from this day forth, I will no longer support your company or it's products. I will never again purchase a new Capcom title. I hereby rescind my fandom.

Goodbye Capcom. You Lose.

RobMan

But if I'm going to get insulted then this is not a very welcoming place and sorry I even donated.

That wasn't meant to be an insult, and I see that any additional dialogue would similarly misfire. If you do have health problems, then I apologize and I'm not the site owner nor do I have any stake here so relax. I still say it's an overreaction to something as simple as game cancellation (that quoted bit in particular) but hey, that's just me. You don't know me, so my opinion shouldn't be taken seriously, no?

Though I really have to say that those companies are businesses, and some decisions may not be popular (both internally and externally). Take it as you will.

Oh, I stopped supporting them some time ago.
They decided to treat Wii owners like children of a lesser god, so I decided to silently protest and only buy Capcom games used from now on. Its more effective than crying and chest pounding.

I don't know, I rather enjoyed the 2009 Bionic Commando. It was flawed but enjoyable. Rearmed 2 on the other hand was wholly unnecessary, they should have done something else. Regardless, Bionic Commando is more or less dead as a series now. No longer financially viable for Capcom.

I'm honestly not sure which was worse. 2009 Bionic Commando, or Spyborgs.

Sucks, but this was inevitable once Inafune left
