I'm coming home with TTT2 soon. No matter how I try, I still end up playing VF like it's Tekken :p

I hope the net code is stable enough for casual matches with anyone but there is enough content this time, aside from the sheer number of characters, to keep one busy for months to come. Luckily, unlike T6, the PS3 version is apparently pretty much arcade perfect but Kane mentioned that the 360 one looked a bit rough at E3.

I'm much more interested in DOA5 personally. I loathe Tekken with a passion.

I actually like DOA5's system. Seems like they really took a good look at what was wrong with 4. I don't know if I will like it in the long run, but it looks like it's worth a shot. I'm more of a 2D person anyway.

Been playing Tekken tag 2 lately. It's fun but I just don't really see it being much of a difference from Tekken 6. And the customization is pretty terrible in my opinion. The majority of the clothing options on the guys make them look 'fat'. Hwoarang's default jeans give him form and figure to some degree, all custom pants however remove that and look like they're hovering over his actual body model by a tiny bit so they just look completely flat.

Not being able to customize boots and gloves seperately among other things isn't exactly stellar either. Also saw a custom Lars in some kind of wrestling briefs in a ghost match and it was laughable. He looked like an action figure with completely flat front and thigh joints that looked so..off in how they moved in connection to the legs. Not to mention his ass was like square and pixellated to hell and suffered the same problems as the thigh joints in that it just did not move realistically.

It just looked so off putting and terrible.

Anywho, can't speak too much from competitive standpoint as I haven't been able to play it online being I only got it from gamefly and no online pass included from that, and I'm not about to shell out $10 for an online pass for a game I don't 'own' and likely won't plan to buy in the future either.

Either way, this topic has been dead for a bit so figured a bit of non-competitive comments wouldn't exactly hurt it :P

All that said though, I do like the game and find it fun. My team is Hwoarang/Xiayou and its pretty solid. Just sucks they really don't have any kind of intro together whether generic or not. Just Hwoarang always saying the same exact opening line every single time while Ling is silent. Kinda dumb.

It's based on T6 so the similarity is inevitable (as was the case with T3 and TTT). That said, the system is revised enough (alongside move revisions and properties) to make it a new experience. Not the same gap between VF5 vanilla and FS but there is an almost infinite depth here with the tag system.

Not fond of customization myself but overall, it's a solid package. Can't speak for the 360 one but the PS3 one unlike T6, is arcade perfect. Net code is without a doubt the best I've seen in a fighter too.

Yea ps3 is what I have it for as well. Also like that they finally confirmed who Unknown is that we all suspected for years anyway.
