Why is SEGA not being mentioned in this? VF5FS is great and all, but it's one game. Look at AM2's track record and SEGA in general. The DC/Naomi line up within a year was better than the last ten combined. I miss unique titles like Cosmic Smash; a few ports, some decent publishing and one decent Sonic title isn't going to cover it.

PSO2 is good, Sega is earning points.

I'm talking about current releases and upcoming titles, one or two does not equate to what they used to put out. To be fair, a big part of this is due to arcades dying out. Half of the amazing Dreamcast titles were Naomi ports.

As for V, you're trying too hard.

Hey sonic! Enjoy your future! It's gonna be great!

;D

Also shouldn't this discussion be in a different thread? Just feels weird.

^Its not like this thread is super active for it to matter. Either way the discussion is mostly on topic. It just drifted a tiny bit. No biggie.

Skullgirls had 102 entrants at Evo! It beat out every anime game.

And just like with the Natsu nerf when everyone abandoned ship, a few of us stuck with her and allowed for time and ingenuity to help retain viability. Same goes for Tira, despite getting hit even harder. Soul Calibur has never been a tier based game and this proves it. Despite SCV being overwhelmingly offensive, a lot of the defensive mechanisms set up for offense. Understanding the just guard system is huge and allows for pretty much any character to get guaranteed damage in. I actually played a very good Tira from Japan about a month ago, lots of mind fudge and mix up, akin to Natsu in a way. We went up and back and had some great matches, mind you this was post patch. I even made a joke to a fellow member saying there must be some beast Tira players in Japan hence the nerf. Never thought it'd turn out to be true. This is what good titles in the SC series have always been about, really happy to see SCV evolving properly.

Kof XIII was most definitely the most HYPE part of EVO 2k12. I'm not much of a Duo Lon player, but MadKOF went insane with him. He also played King very well and used every tool in her arsenal (zoning, rushdown, footsies). And Chin??? I never expected to see high level Chin play at EVO. Props to him. Korea owned it up in a lot of games this EVO.
