No ones on sfxt because everyone realized it was shit. Its broken to the point of being unplayable.

First there was the sound issue and insane unplayable lag netcoding. Then they tried to fix that and broke rolento in the process causing game freezes and crashes galore.

Then all the overpowered assist gem nonsense and bullshit with rufus until they nerfed him.

Game is just so worthless. Which is indeed sad because I wanted to like it too.

My condolences. I can't harp on you for buying the game, because I was sucked in to that "fan-service crossover game" appeal it had. And after having played it (a superior BETA build, imo) at Comic-Con, I believed the game to be the next CvS2. Boy, when gems were actually implemented into the game's core playstyle, I was heavily disappointed. The glitches were a heavy turnoff as well.

So after more experimenting on FS, I found out Brad's knee launchers are still there. They just changed it to P+K instead of just K like it was before for the execution.

The only real problems i have with Brad currently is that his slips and ducks aren't the same as they were in 5. Like in 5 I could slip into the background on command and spin around the opponents back and open them up while they were attacking. Can't do that anymore because he doesn't spin slip nor does his slip go as far in the background. He only dodges slightly to the side and can still have stuff track him.

He also used to slip and duck really low and hard into the knee launchers. Now it's faster but not as low and easy to connect.

Overall it seems like they jsut balanced him but I'm not entirely sure those balances were needed. But, he does seem to move a lot faster now so that's a positive. Again, just gotta get used to it all is the main key. Nothing about Brad's changes have really been specifically 'bad'.

Got the base game for $15 and bought customization pack 1 so far for another $15. Can't afford pack 2 at the moment but I'll get it next paycheck since Jacky was in 2 and Brad in 1 and i wanted both and figured I'd support Sega and VF.

Game itself wise, I'm not a fan of the new soundtrack. I like the old one better. Switched it back to VF5 so I can have Aurora theme play properly and not that new crappy generic one.

Brad's as badass as ever though they changed up quite a few of his moves that I used to heavily used and now I either can't find them or I've noticed they're limited and altered now.

Before you used to be able to do a slip back into a fake out punch at will, now it seems you can only do it during a combo. I used to catch a lot of people off guard with the slip fake and hit them as I dodged back and they tried to push forward. Shame i can't use it anymore like that. A lot of Brad's gameplay with his slips and dodges makes him very tricky and that was part of it.

Also noticed i can't seem to do his double knee launchers anymore. It looks like they just combined it into a basic double knee combo kick. But it doesn't have the same impact, strength, setup or feel. Rather than slip into one powerful knee launch into another. Now he kinda just does a quick double knee combo on command without a slip. It's pretty basic and no where near as useful because you can't slip into it.

A lot of his BnB stuff works just like it did before but some of it changed a lot too. Some for the better, some not so much. I love the guy and really enjoy playing him still. But, it's gonna take some time to adapt to these changes because there was some solid stuff I used to heavily use in my game before that's just flat out gone now and I need time to adapt and find replacements.

Still a fun game overall. Shame the ps3 version seems to have the bigger crowd this time around though.

Still downloading customization pack 1 though. It's taking foreeeeeeeeeever. Can't wait to dick around with it though. Always loved the customization options in 5 and FS adds so much more. Customizing characters is one of my fav past times in any game.



Didn't get to tackle on to this post due to the semi-discussion of Street Failure X Glitches, but now I will.

Glad you really enjoy the game because I think it's well worth the $15, $30, $45, whatever amount people paid. I purchased both full editions (well on X360 game + both costume bundles) and have been having a shitload of fun with the customization. It's not as open minded as other fighters like say Tekken or Soul Calibur (because of the damn item point system still being 10 and most cool stuff taking like 4 or 5 pts). Soundtrack was always okay, but I'm a huge fan of the VF 2 music and I have been playing with that. Overall game play has been sped up from Vanilla VF 5 and for the better. A LOT of changes to the characters movelist, but at least they do retain their intended play style (Jeffry still bodies people with that damage, Aoi still is pro with counters, etc). Oh, I got some pics of my custom designs. Take a peek : )

Some of those are pretty good. Props on the FF8 Selphie representation. <3 Selphie. I've mostly played with Brad's customization and have like 7 versions of him. Dicked around with Sarah, Akira, Aoi and wolf customizations. I have like one of each. Two for Sarah I think. None of them are based on any other chars yet though. Just trying to make the chars look cool to my own personal likes.

But, yeah, saw you on a few times but you were always on away so I didn't bother messaging. But, if you ever wanna spar, let me know.

Sure man, I'm down for whenever. Game has really good netcode. What I also like is that they allow you to have as many customization slots as you want.

Actually, I read that there's a limit. But, the limit is like 100 per char so it's hardly a limiting limit lol.

Anyway, i'll be on in a few if you wanna spar tonight. Dunno if it's too late for you or not. Just having too many LOL's out of the 'other' thread at the moment :P

Seth leaving Capcom

I find it odd all the high profile Capcom employees that have been leaving the company lately or speaking out against it. The company already lost 3 of it's big faces, then Snow left, Ono spoke out against them and his illness that nearly cost his life thanks to them, and now Seth's leaving too.

Regardless, love or hate him, Seth was a good guy to the FGC and he'll be missed at least by me.
