Popped in GGX on my Dreamcast and hit up survival.....

Got to Survival level 21 and stage 4 where i was anally raped by Testament....

still badass with Faust (Dr. Baldhead btw)

Got Street Fighter X Tekken and borrowed Soul Cal V. Only toyed with Soul Cal so far but SFxT I spent a lot of time on and it's pretty enjoyable. Really really really really really love the ability to team up with a friend against other players online. My buddy and I were on a team together with me as Hwoarang and him as Poison fighting randoms online all night. It was a lot of fun.

And best of all, the team up stuff isn't limited to a 'team up mode', rather you can use it in any normal mode including Ranked. As well, you don't need to fight against 2 other players teamed up, you can do a 2 vs 1 with you and a friend vs one other player controlling both of their chars. It's really solid and a lot of fun. I'm very greatful they included that ability, it's amazing fun.


Here's some info I put together in case anyone is interested. It's just general stuff, no tech talk or character specific move details etc. Just some general info about the various modes and even a glitch I noticed so far. Most of the info is probably already well known but hey.

Hmmm, something seems strange about my Gamefaqs account... It says it was made in 2011... but I know I had it years before that... Like 2008ish...

SCV and KOFXIII in MLG? Pretty nuts. That's big prize money for a tourney that will have less comp than a minor hosted by the FGC. I'd definitely go, but of course it's MLG and they add a game less than a month from tourney time giving no time to plan a trip. At least there will be more tourneys to go to, pretty happy. Not a huge MLG (as of late) fan, but more exposure for SCV is always a good thing.

Just got done playing survival as maxi on SC 1....

19 wins... lost to inferno as lizardman.... hate lizard man...

It might be that I just need more time in SCV or that I'm more interested in SFxT at the moment and being I got them at the same time, have been focusing far more on SFxT. But, none the less, I just haven't gotten into SCV so far. It just doesn't feel right.

It's basically just a slightly upgraded SCIV with even some of the same stages just redesigned to look like a new stage even though it really isn't. It just comes off as lazy. And the Create a Soul Mode has new features sure, but, removed more than half of the items that were in IV and didn't bother to replace them. And Arcade mode just kinda 'ends' without notice.

Controls and movesets are more streamlined and simplified which is good in a way but at the same time, my Ivy just feels very weird compaired to how I'm used to playing her. I guess I just need time to adjust to everything, but, it just doesn't feel like Ivy to me anymore and they removed one of my favorite moves of hers as well. Went through her entire move list in training and even watched the demo of each move in case they changed the name or something, but, it's just not there.

Also don't really care for most of the new characters and miss the old ones. But, either way, I've only played with the game for a short bit. I definitely need to give it more of a chance, I'm just more intrigued and interested in SFXT right now.

Here's to hoping SCV grows on me, just not feeling it at the moment.

Oh and Namco did the same shit again as IV with locking 5 useless and worthless pieces of customization equipment onto the disc and charing an overpriced fee for an unlock code to use them as DLC. I don't have any intention to buy them, but, I just think it's absolute bullocks.

To be fair though, Capcom's doing the same kinda crap with SFxT with 'colors' being locked out as DLC for the color edit mode which is just horse shit.
