even a pad player like myself can tell that the placement of the start button is horrible on it. I wonder how many dq's that will cause. :frown:

Should be a joy watching people enter neutral stance after attempting to mash out of tempest.

Old news, but, KOF2002 UM coming to XBLA Nov. 3rd. - 800 MS points.

http://game.snkplaymore.co.jp/game/xbla ... 2002um.php

Only people really missing from that roster are Chizuru, Saiyshu, Eiji, Orochi and the USA Sports team. (K'9999 as well but Nameless takes care of that). Which, all things considered, isn't really bad at all. Pretty much everyone in KOF up to 2002 is in it otherwise. Music's all redone too supposedly. Definitely looks a lot better than the original 2002 release which i disliked almost entirely for aesthetic reasons. So, looks pretty solid so far.

It's really not bad unless you're one of those kids that like to use all 8 buttons.

Honestly, the start button placement is fine. If you didn't hit start while mashing out tempest on the old school HRAPs then you wont have a problem with this one.

I've posted this elsewhere before, but here it is:

http://blog.livedoor.jp/ps360/archives/51620353.html

This guy typically does frame rate analysis, very accurate ones at that. He took a stab at measuring input lag and the results are seemingly as accurate as it gets. Most of us knew that SFIV/SSFIV had some input lag on the PS3 and IIRC, SRK deemed it a mere 1 frame lag so the results of a 1-3 frame lag is shocking.

Dimps fixed a few technical issues (close up res and loading), but I guess they figured if the old version was used in tourneys, why bother fixing anything there? By comparison, Namco did a much better job porting T6 to the 360 with an odd 1 frame lag here and there.

That's what 98UM is for lol. Oh, and I must say...Go Team USA! (Incoming match result spoilers) The 5v5 @ Season's Beatings was very entertaining. Though, while I'm definitely not shitting on USA's efforts, if the roster for Team International was different, more than likely Team International would have won.

ChocoBlanka was pretty much a sacrificial virgin to team USA, as they pretty much rode train and bodied her 5 straight. Starnab, a French Fei-Long player, did exceptionally well at bringing the score back up. Gamerbee did his thing as well. Momochi was probably the strongest player, as he bodied the first 4 until he lost to Marn's dudley.

Then Daigo went last and lost to PR Balrog and actually kinda got bodied by Mike Ross. Then he came back with some amazing shit. He fought Arturo's Dhalsim, he countered Sim's jumping HP with cr. HP from full screen and does shinkuu hadouken, fully connecting. Justin Wong finally beat Daigo and won for Team USA. Team International was: ChocoBlanka, Starnab, Gamerbee, Momochi, and Daigo vs Team USA: PR Balrog, Mike Ross, Arturo Sanchez, Justin Wong, and Marn. Replace Choco (cause she was pretty much free) with Sako and USA probably would've lost.

I have to say this though...love him or hate him, you have to respect Marn's Dudley. I think he honestly gets a little too thirsty at times (the game still favors turtling and patience), but his mix-up game is devastating.
