Capcom has just announced that Dead Rising 2 (PS3, 360, PC) has been delayed by a month in Europe and North America, the game is now set for release across North America on September 28 and throughout Europe on October 1st.

Kotaku and videogamer.com

No reason for the delay has been given yet, we just hope this will not affect in any way the Xbox 360 exclusive prologue Case Zero, which is rumored to be out on July 8th.

Ouch. Buzz kill. Like you said, as long as it doesn't alter Case Zero's apparent release date it's bearable.

Two weeks after Reach. This won't bode well.

This made me sad when I first heard of this v-v but at least their doing arrangements and things of that nature to make the game be perfected as much as possible ^_^

The Japanese version is out on time, so it's definitely not a QA issue.

Capcom's just announced it has brought forward the release date of Dead Rising 2 to September 24 in Europe. Nice!

Too bad it's online co-op only. That blows.

Yep, the co-op will only be online, NO split-screen co-op, but I don't see how that's relevant... I mean I'm pretty sure people will buy it mainly for the immersive single player experience, everything after that is really just extra.

You expected relevance from Peter? Have you only just registered here?!

Dead Rising would look a complete and utter mess in split screen, anyone with a pair of functioning eyes could tell you that.

Looking forward to Case Zero a week today!

@Stu
Naaaaaa,
Spoiler:
I wasn't expecting anything like that, It's just that I prefer to write replies based only on the content of the posts rather than the person who wrote them :razz:

But yeah u're right, split screen coop works better with first/third person shooters, but would be a real mess in DR2.

anyone seen these posters?
