I can't say I was surprised, but inFamous 2 has been officially announced via the front cover of the new issue of GameInformer. Personally I loved the first one, and the story was enjoyable.

According to this IGN article, there is going to be a new voice actor to play Cole. It also looks as if Cole's appearance has changed a lot from the first game, although it's still concept art.

Hopefully they'll be more info and possibly a trailer at E3.

I got my issue yesterday and in the opening paragraph they say:



I don't know about anyone else but my mind WAS blown by the first one. So if that is considered great by the devs then what on earth is "mind-blowing"???????

I perused the article, haven't had a chance to give it a full read, and I am SUPER-CRAZY-EXCITED!!

It'll be good if it retains its freedom. The New Orleans inspired city could be interesting enough to run around.

A two player experience could also brighten things quite a bit too.

I hope thats just some mock up on concept design cause that looks cheesy. I dont want them to change art style.
I liked Infamous. It wasnt ground breaking and it didnt exactly do anything new but it was a very solid game and easily the best of its kind.

Infamous was (and still seems to be) the only game I'm interested in on the PS3, if I ever get one. I played a demo of it at a store once, Hopefully this one is cool.

Its concept art, the in-game visuals are the same as before. However Cole has been redesigned completely. I really don't understand the whole out cry over the CONCEPT ART on the cover of the magazine. People really need to relax.

Well I think the reason alot of people liked the first was the art. How its a comic book. Its cool for them to change it for the second. I have no problem with that, I just hope its going to look better than that magazine cover and the concept art isnt going representative of the final product.
Im not too down on it though, its still not been shown fully so im very much looking forward to it. Even if graphically or artistically I dont like it then ill probably still play it cause the gameplay of the first was so good.

As you can see Cole has changed a lot since the first game, which is bound to split opinions. New Ice powers are also revealed, which could be a good or bad idea. The more I watch the trailer though, the more I accept the 'new' Cole.

okay but the cover is concept art and not a representation of the ingame cutscenes, the ones that were drawn. it makes sense the whole outcry though. thanks for illuminating that for me. people were just confused.

The new E3 footage is awsome. The game is looking great. Looking forward to this alot. I kinda feel like playing the first again now.
