I didn't see a topic on this, but it's been 2 days since the release of the highly anticipated Nintendo 3DS and at a whopping $250 bones I want to know any thoughts and opinions on this new console! If I was informed correctly-RE: Mercenaries 3d was pushed back (bummer.) for a few weeks. So with that, I was wondering:

- How is it so far? Is it everything that we anticipated as far as the 3D visuals and style of the system?

- What games did you get and what are they like?

- Since we got the Nintendo DS, we got the XL, Lite, and DSI - What kind of 3DS upgrade do you think they'll make next?

- What games are you looking forward to being released in the next year?

And most importantly...do you recommend it, especially for the price?

Whats mercs 3D release date now?

June 7th if I'm not mistaken.

I saw the screen on 1 last week Friday I think and It was like a lenticular card or poster. could be the fact that I wear glasses and my prescription for them but I could see distinct lines on the demo game street fighter.
It was like the lines cut short to make the caricatures definition it wasn't smooth along the screen.Now could be me but I'd like a better image for 200 quid and £40 each game.

How is it so far? Is it everything that we anticipated as far as the 3D visuals and style of the system?
Love it so far. The 3D is way better then I expected. And the system feels really comfortable. Then again I did update from the brick like original lol

- What games did you get and what are they like? Unfortunately shelling out the 250 was all my money so I wasn't able to get any games with it. Which isn't a big deal because I didn't really want any of the launch titles. I'll pick up a game here soon though.


- Since we got the Nintendo DS, we got the XL, Lite, and DSI - What kind of 3DS upgrade do you think they'll make next? Who knows. They are always updating their systems. I'm sure they'll make it thinner and lighter and brighter. The usual.

- What games are you looking forward to being released in the next year? Zelda. Star Fox. Resident Evil. Kingdom Hearts. The list goes on.

And most importantly...do you recommend it, especially for the price? Yes actually. I love it so far. I don't even have a game and having a blast with it. Comes with two small games built in that show the 3D off really well and its fun to show friends while playing around with it. The 3D picture capability is a blast too. The quality of the pics aren't all that but it's still a lot of fun.

Hopefully bubba they will make a 3dsXL. I like the system but my old ass eyes can't handle that little damn screen haha.

I'm sure they will lol But I think the screen size is just fine. It's a smaller then the PSP's. I could also just be saying this because I transferred from the original DS and the screen was pretty small on that one lol.

Awesome. The 3D is great, and the packed in stuff is amazing.

- What games did you get and what are they like?
Ghost Recon, because I heard the creator of X-COM (the original, not that 2K filth) worked on it. Its basically Tom Clancy's Fire Emblem. The 3D is just for show, nothing impressive.

- What kind of 3DS upgrade do you think they'll make next?
I don't know. I guess it could go bigger, but I don't know what else they could add. I wish it had launched with the Virtual Console though.

- What games are you looking forward to being released in the next year?
Any of the re-released N64 stuff.

-And most importantly...do you recommend it, especially for the price?
Not right now. If you're on the fence, wait a month or two when better games are out. This launch is weak as hell.

Will they release a cable so it can be placed through Wii on the bigger screen?
