If someone is really pissing me off, thats when I pull out the lag switch. But most of the time I only resort to that if my enemies are cheating themselves.

haha that's rubbish! So a complex storyline with characters gives games a license to show melted off faces, decapitations, impalings etc? I don't think so! At the end of the day, Gears is a shooter, and so obviously it's going to include shooting

Gears Of War is no more a cliche than Resident Evil.

Gears does not just involve shooting as the extent of its violence and you know it. When you kill somebody with a shotgun they explode into chunks of meat and it freaking rains blood. You also chainsaw people in half. It portays violence as something to be desired as oposed to something to be feared or disturbed by.

I'm getting the Xbox 360 Arcade. I don't have an interest in live at this moment. Does the Arcade 360 have the new chips that reduce chances of getting a RRoD?

And? And you are trying to make a point that Gears violence = RE violence, and I'm refuting it.
(You fail at using the quote function.)

Look I didn't create this thread for people to talk off topic about it. It was made to talk about Gears 2. I think I explained in my pervious post about the whole cliche bullshit.

100% of all games coming out have at least one cliched element in it. Every idea has been thought of, how you go about turning that idea into something of your own is the whole point of making videogames. If you're still pulling the whole cliche bullshit then guess what, you're as stupid as those little 10 year olds on Halo who think you're such a BA for cussing. NEWS FLASH! The world is full of cliche that it isn't funny. That book you read a few days ago? The ideas came form somewhere, it wasn't just the author. Those "save the kingdom" rpgs and whatnot came from old children stories, just beefed up so teenagers/adults will like them.

God damn, reading all the things you guys are yellin at each other, you're pratically contridicting yourself. To wrap up, there isn't a single thing that isn't cliched out there, you just gotta look hard, or easy, enough to find it.

Anywho, I love how smoothly Gears 2 plays now. No more active sniper downs, no running shotguns, BARELY any glitches out there - I'm sure people are trying to do all the old Gears 1 glitches - and who can forget the satisfying feeling of the sound of a neck breaking when you don't want a meatsheild anymore. Oh the sound of it is so good.

It depends on the date of manufacture. Check the side of the box to see if its a newer unit.

So I hear this game is really stupid from a Gears 1 player. He tells me that I think it is the smoke grenade with a huge hitbox knocks down and people just come up and chainsaw you. Also that grenades can be stuck on walls and while that sounds cool, they are too strong and the gameplay has changed drastically. People hide behind stuff and wait for you to come just to be blown up instead of going and fighting each other and having fire fights.

He says campaign is cool, though.

Thank you. I look forward to playing this game.
