When you win the lottery (it's expensive now), import it. The English patch is beyond good.

In case it's slipped through the cracks on this end, a new Fatal Frame is in the works outside of the Crimson Butterfly remake. No info on the console or anything else, but in all likeliness it'll show up at TGS'11. I think I'm going to try and make TGS this year.

Yeah, an AR title for the 3DS. Looks like quirky fun, I'll buy it since my console is Japanese.

Just been playing through the series again thanks to gamefly but I have been wondering. Is there any japanese horror movies that are similar to Fatal Frame? with typical ghosts in traditional japanese places or schools.
Only place I could figure to ask because the only kinda stuff that I find are One Missed Call,Grudge,Ring, etc

Ah, this topic brought back a nice memory. A friend and I bought a copy of Fatal Frame 3 because we were watching a Lets Play of it sometime ago. I remember playing it in my basement in the dark while munching on peppermint/white chocolate popcorn, and both of us trying not to get startled. It was well worth it in the end, finding all of the small details and experiences.

Specter-Redfield: To be honest a lot of Asian horror films do that, use ghosts and stringy haired creepy girls rather than gore or serial killers. You could probably find a ton if you looked around.

Surprised not to see this topic revived, though seemingly Project Zero II Deep Crimson Butterfly flew under the radar of many. Picked up the PAL version and just recently had the NTSC-J copy ordered for me, going to play that next. It's tough to expand upon a perfect iteration such as Director's Cut on X-Box, even visually despite the generation gap, though Deep Crimson Butterfly mixes in enough fresh aspects from Zero 4 to keep things interesting. Anyone else play it? Zero 2 is in my top five favorite games of all time, so I'm pretty tough on the Wiimake, though am thoroughly enjoying it. I'll try and post up some more in due time as I sink more hours.

Having now got a Wii U I'm gonna be playing more Wii games I imagine now. Today picked up PZ2 for £9 so will post some impressions once I've played it!
