I am PSYCHED for this game. its the first PS3 title to ship with Trophy support YAY! i am hoping this game at least creeps me out a bit. im thinking it will since they said one of their main influences for the game was RE.

Was reviewed this morning on TV, got 9/10 and they didn't have a bad word to say about it. Very promising indeed!

very nice. only bad part is Dead Space begins the onslaught of games i am buying.

I don't know if you read the Game Informer cover story last year, but the influences of this game are all over the place. The producers listed Resident Evil, Alien, Silent Hill, Event Horizon, The Thing, Half Life 2, and the movies of David Fincher as influences. That's quite a melting pot. The game looks very good to me, but to be perfectly honest I'm not entirely sold yet. With an all-new IP and a team that doesn't have previous experience in survival horror, I reserve a little caution.

I've decided now that this, Left 4 Dead, Gears Of War 2 and Silent Hill: Homecoming are the four games i'm gonna get at the end of November, everything else can wait until the sales start next year.

Aside from Event Horizon, that's a seriously fucking impressive list of influences to have in fairness, so the guys behind it definitely have great taste!

Everyone has to start somewhere! I think the few reviews (9/10 and a 91%) show that the team's off to a great start. The videos i've seen really speak for themselves as well. I'm sure they've done a good job with the game...just as long as the real time inventories don't wind me up too much!

OMFG!! backtracking similar to Metroid and RE/BH. great atomsphere. general feel of vulnirnability. my excitement has flown through the roof. only thing im not liking the sound of is the difficulty bits on page 3.

lets hope this one sells and warrants at least one sequel. well inless it sucks. which i dont think it will.
