Dead Space 3, single player and co-op footage here. Not impressed by the single player stuff, didn't stick around for co-op.

The environments in Severed aren't new. But you play them in the opposite order that Isaac did in the main game. So you basically are traveling backwards. different weapons, and since Gabe is a security officer it's more action oriented. Higher enemy counts, more ammo, that sort of thing.

If you've played Dead Space Extraction then I recommed getting "Severed". If not then you should pass, as this DLC will bring up more questions than answers.

I'm sure it will be a competent follow up, but I just don't like the Lost Planet vibe it's giving out. Needs to be more about isolation not giant bugs...

Same here. I saw a vid on there website awhile ago where two of the devs played a demo. Isaac was completley isolated and it got me excited again.

Yeah, the whole co-op thing has me on edge. Hopefully Visceral will deliver.

It does look very solid and apparently co-op isn't forced and works out like Dead Rising 2's co-op. If the player leaves, you're really not accompanied by an AI partner so it does sound good so far.

On a side note, DS2 is part of the Halloween sale on PSN for $13.99 (9.79 for PS+)

yup, that's the one!

On another note I hope they announce a cool collector's/limited edition. I got the one for DS 2 and it was great. I'd love to add another one to my collection.

Im super excited for this. The way they are implementing the co-op seems a lot better then it is in the RE games. Im loving the atmosphere of the game.
