I recently got my hands on the wii version of the remake and for some reason the entire game is framed in a tiny box. Theres black bars on the left and right sides of the screen. Is this normal for that version ? I also have the archive version of zero and it doesn't do that.

Set your Wii to 4:3. That is the only aspect ratio both REmake and Zero support.

Well i feel like a complete dolt. Thanks News Bot. Still kind of strange that zero supports both and remake doesn't...

I believe Zero stretches the image to fit 16:9, while REmake doesn't. But both games are best in 4:3.

I just got both recently, and I'm using and HD converter.
Zero in 480p looks way better than I thought it would, but not only are there annoying black bars on REmake, but I can't see a DAMN thing. Brightness is at 100 too :/

Gonna set my wii to 4:3 as well, but anyone have any quick tips on what exactly to tweak on the picture settings for REmake? Increasing contrast, lowering hue etc... I really have no clue. >.<

^Well this is depressing to hear, I was about to purchase these games so I could still play them when I finally picked up a Wii-U. Too bad there seems to be a drop in graphics quality though. Guess it shows that porting a game across platforms is really harder than it seems.

Oh well, I always have the originals that I can go back to if it really bothers me.
