IGN One absolute that they have written is that the scientist thought to be Alex Wesker is in fact not , but Derek Simmons, a National Security Advisor .
This would probably explain the one shot with the armed guys in suits standing along with him in China. His connection is obviously important, and maybe something about the Organization can be drawn from him.

Christ, more new characters. Well, there had hopefully be an Alex Wesker somewhere. Perhaps they are saving his identity for last. But even still when I read this:
Hiroyuki Kobayashi: If you are a fan, it just adds that much more to your understanding of those characters, but you don’t need a knowledge of the previous games to enjoy the story in this game.
If we’re going to be doing all of these stories, I want them to be something anyone can jump in and enjoy without a previous knowledge of the series.
However, there’s still stuff in there for fans. If you know these characters and you’ve played the games there will be stuff for you to enjoy. Those people will be able to chuckle to themselves and say ‘Ah! I know what’s that’s about’. But even if you don’t know the minutiae of previous games you’ll still be able to enjoy the story.
Brand new fans will probably know nothing about Alex Wesker or the Wesker Children if they haven't touched RE5/Lost in Nightmares. I mean it's nice to want to bring more fans into the series, but hopefully it's not done while sacrificing important subject matter that needs to be wrapped up from the previous games. I mean, you couldn't do that with a series of books. "Resident Evil Book#6:New readers: You don't need to start at the first book to understand anything! Old readers: We'll just throw in a few easter eggs for you."

I'd rather just see a nod to Jill in the end or have her make a cameo should something ill happen to Chris. If we can't have some sort of semblance of Claire in this game, Chris could atleast mention her for once if Sherry doesn't get around to reflecting on the past in any way. I wouldn't be surprised if such a memory omitted Claire for Leon.(Didn't even mention her on Sherry's site profile after all)

But if we consider post-RE2/RE3 events, then yes, Leon has more significance in Sherry's story.

A limited edition RE6 headlamp (that was supposedly given to only 3 people during E3 2012) is being made available to win, by sending your information(impression of product, name, address, age, gender and telephone number) through to the Hagitoko facebook page or e-mail: hagitoko@capcom.co.jp

Deadline is July 2nd, 23:59 (Japan time, of course). Winner will probably be announced through the Capcom's Hagi Toko web show.

From the demo data file itself. It's fairly close to the end of the file, so I assumed it was something left over from RE5 if they were reusing assets, since it's only Chris and Sheb(v)a listed. It could also be some sort of mini-game that involves those two as well.

Also, speaking of characters showing up in RE6, and well, because Im a fan and paid attention to the interview, it's highly possible that Ricardo Irving could show up in 6, likely as flashback of Ada's(since he's dead afterall). His VA stated in REdatabase's Portuguese interview that he was e-mailed(October 2011) by Capcom to be called back to LA to do voicework on one more role for Ricardo. From my translation he said sequel, but I could be wrong. When I asked REDB about it, they said it was from Jim Sonzero.
Him showing up in a flashback and having Alex Wesker make an appearance could be a call back to Patrick/Spencer's Memoirs.

This one is changed to reflect her appearance in ORC, it seems. Perhaps it's to make her look more youthful?
Still prefer Voth's face though, it's the one I've cherished since REmake.

I really hope they didn't make the change because of ORC...

Perhaps the only questionable thing I can see is how Sherry(and Carla was probably just there not too long ago) is conveniently there right as Jake takes the "supplement", and deems that he's immune, as if this was all a setup to begin with, like they knew this was going to happen. Her being sent by Simmons, the Ustanak chase and making it seem that Carla is victimizing them both. All one big fake out to likely get battle data to test both the J'avo/Ustanak and the potential of Jake and Sherry with their unique blood.

Hrm, not necessarily; one could simply be searching for it to confirm the legitimacy of panicked claims that it's been leaked online. There is no legit copy online, therefore the fanbase can relax, and numerous spoilers can be debunked.
