Is that a taunt I see?

Also, I'd love a four-player Horde-style mode, personally.

Warning:

If you want to go into Resident Evil 6 as spoiler-free as possible, do not, I repeat, DO NOT watch the end credits of Damnation.

For some reason, throughout almost the entirety of the end credits, cutscene footage from Resident Evil 6 plays in the background, and a good majority of it is made up for stuff we haven't seen.

May I ask in general does it involed Ada/ Ada in blue dress?
Yeah, she shows up a few times. I don't think there's anything super spoilerific, but again, I would recommend you avoid the footage to be safe than sorry.

Honestly, I don't think that final scene will have anything to do with Resident Evil 6, unless you're just assuming the person she was talking to is who I think you're assuming it was.

As far as how Las Plagas were obtained, Ada seems to imply that she was the one who provided at least two dominant species plagas and several subordinate species plagas to the resistance army. However, I'm not entirely certain this is the case, as it is discovered later in the movie that the president of the Eastern Slav Republic has been harvesting and cultivating Las Plagas on a massive scale. Leon suspects that she was the one who released the plagas into the wild, which she neither confirms nor denies.

JD, one of the resistance members, says they were given the plagas by their "elders," and we find out towards the end of the movie that the president has been making some backroom deals with the elders, so she may very well have been the one who provided the plagas to the resistance movement after all.

We never find out how or from where she got the plagas in the first place, though, but it was probably the black market.

Also, entirely random note, but when Leon and Ada first meet, Ada asks Leon when they're going to pick up where they left off "that night," which I'm hoping for my own sanity was just a reference to the events of either Resident Evil 2 or 4, but I'm sure the 'shippers will take it another way entirely.

Not sure what the spoiler scene was about after the credits. There is none.

There's only a small scene after the initial cast credits which closes up the story of the movie but has nothing to do with re6.

There's re6 footage during the credits but nothing is really spoiled.

I wasn't talking about the scene that plays after they list the voice/motion actors but before the scrolling credits. I was talking about the RE6 footage show during the scrolling credits.

There's at least one fairly large plot point shown during that footage.

As far as the movie itself, probably my biggest issue was how obvious it was that they made this movie specifically for 3D. There was so much crap flying at the screen it got really irritating after awhile. You could even predict when a "3D" scene was coming up fairly easily.

I honestly think people are putting way too much stock in the ending being a connection to Resident Evil 6.

Potential Resident Evil 6 spoilers follow, but are essential for explaining my reasoning:

Several people seem to be under the impression that Ada in Damnation is actually Carla, which is just not possible. Damnation is set around February of 2011. Resident Evil 6 is set in June of 2013. The "recording from six months ago" Ada finds in Resident Evil 6 would be from around December 2012. Since the recording is of Carla's transformation, it can't possibly be Ada in Damnation.

Secondly, people are also assuming that Ada's handler seen briefly from behind at the end is Derek Simmons. While I'm not entirely sold on this myself (the only real evidence is that the man apparently has a goatee), I would be willing to believe it before I would accept that Ada is actually Carla. Her handler is apparently powerful enough that he can erase an international arrest warrant issued by Interpol and the BSAA, which might suggest someone with Simmons' kind of pull.

It might also explain Ada and Simmons' apparent history by the events of Resident Evil 6. Though, unless Ada chose not to send Simmons the dominant plaga, we probably won't find out what his beef with her is until we play the game. Still, Simmons being Ada's handler may also explain why Chris still doesn't know who she is by the time he and his team encounter Carla in Edonia, especially if the arrest warrant was issued jointly by the BSAA and Interpol.

I don't know if anyone else has picked up on this, but the corridor where Leon and Helena have to fight off the waves of zombies while Hunnigan hacks the security system is where the two survivors Leon and Helena saw on the security feed were before getting attacked. You can see the "HELP" sign one of them was holding lying on the floor. I thought that was a really nice touch.

On the plus side, Sheva isn't mentioned or referenced at all, either.

Something tells me if it wasn't Julia Voth, no one would care.

Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but in the opening cutscene to Leon's Chapter 4, on the televisions you can see the news broadcast from the beginning of Chris' Chapter 1. You even see Chris shove the camera away from the viewpoint of the cameraman.

It would explain Chris' career change too.

According to the extended file on RE.net, Chris is basically getting too old for this shit (TM), so he voluntarily chose to switch from SOA to SOU so he could pass on his knowledge to a younger generation of BSAA in case another Wesker came along in the future.

Part of the music that plays during the battle with the giant shark monster in Chapter 3 of Leon's campaign is the theme from Del Lago's boss fight in RE4.

So, Sherry is basically Aya Brea now.
