I can only assume they meant "Best Action Game" or "Best PS2 Game" that week?

Fact is - decent ratings don't put extra zeros in Capcom's bank accounts.

If any game needed a demo this year, its OPRC.
This game takes a huge step away from what we expect from RE... again.
Which is fine & all since its a spin off, but if you really think about it, there
are hardly any shooters that use OPRC's mechanics: becoming infected,
dealing with AI enemies AND an opposing team at the same time...

Back on topic a little bit more, i saw a few video's on youtube and the levels
seem pretty big... does respawning far & running to the action hurt the gameplay?

I agree that this game could certainly use a demo. It seems the more attention it gets the more undecided gamers there are. At least a demo would help make their decision, regardless if they get it or not.

Yes, the stages seem very big. Not just in width but also having second levels/floors to run around in as well. I found that every time I respawned I certainly had to make a run just to get back to where my team was or where the main action is. On one hand it stresses the importance of sticking together. Respawning alone puts you at risk to be outnumbered by the opposing team while weakening the whole. On the other hand, respawning gives you the option to take a different route and maybe try for a flank depending on the game type. I wouldn't say it hurt the gameplay but given the size of the map, you certainly will have to work to regroup. That doesn't mean to say you'll just be running in empty areas - zombies, lickers, and other enemies are always around.

Kawata hints at other RE titles alongside RE6.

" Explaining that the side-by-side of The Mercenaries 3D and Revelations had gone smoothly and efficiently, Kawata also indicated that there would be more offshoot titles like these in the Resident Evil series alongside this year's Resident Evil 6, and he hoped they would surprise people. "

Sven hinted a little while ago a suprise for old school RE fans so that might be it.

This whole "RE is all action and gone to hell" argument is silly. Maybe it held some weight at RE5's release, but, right now? No.

There are two fundamental groups of RE fans. New fans and classic fans. New fans like the action, classic like survival horror. For Capcom to pick and choose one over the other would alienate an entire group of fans. Instead, Capcom WISELY chose to try to please both crowds. With that, they made Revelations to appease SH fans and ORC to please action fans. And RE6 is trying to incorporate both styles.

Yet, all I hear from SH fans is them using ORC as a way to say RE is all action now and sucks. It's like they completely forget Revelations exists and that RE6 is trying to do both styles. Using the one game PURPOSELY tailored TO the action crowd as a way to try and demean the entire series as guilty of this is pretty ignorant.

It seems like SH fans can't seem to accept co-existance with action horror. It's the same thing with RE5's DLC. LiN is a throwback to classic RE while DE is basically RE5 on crack. One focuses on survival horror, the other on action horror. It's Capcom trying to appease both fanbases and that's a SMART move.

If you don't like Action Horror, then don't play the Action Horror titles. Stick to the Survival Horror stuff. But, don't get pissy because they exist. They're not going anywhere.

Has anyone else noticed this?

In the lab where you extract the Nemesis parasite from the T-103, there is a white board that says "Attn: RPD - Let's be safe out there." It's signed "Chief Irons."

On it, it lists the units that comprise the RPD, including STARS, but here's the kicker. They say STARS stands for "Special Tactics and Rescue Squad ."

On his face book page he said he wasn't leaving at all.
D.C. Douglas - Actor & Voice Over Artist UPDATE:
Thanks for all the great comments! Warms my cockles. Don’t tell anyone
However, there seems to be some confusion and, I admit, it’s due to my writing a blog post at 2 am! Let me clear it up;
1. Wesker, as far as I know, is NOT in RE6.
2. I am NOT leaving VO work or Videogames. I just have a lull at the moment. Usually I don’t post about that!
3. I still work everyday in VO (commercials, narration, etc) and have a nice streak going with film & TV gigs. In fact, you can hear me as Chase the police car on Transformers: Rescue Bots every week on The Hub!
Hope that clarifies. Next time, I’ll go to bed and write my posts after 8 hours sleep!

I thought it would be good uploading the direct feed version of the trailer here. The compressed YouTube version somehow washes out the visuals. Game looks beautiful in an HDTV.

Download here (230MB)

OK, think I'm gonna use this thread to compile all official trailers in the highest quality possible. For now, I've updated the first trailer with a better version (higher bitrate, MP4).

Well, I did say I've had all I can take of it . That's all anyone talks about is Jill when it comes to this franchise. Just grates on my nerves that it seems everyone has tunnel vision when a game gets announced.

"Jill, Jill, Jill, you sound like a broken record." to quote Excella. :rcg:

Most of todays music is utter and complete shit anyway. I cant stand any of it.
Sad story: in Art class last year I decided to go for a change of pace and change the radio station from Todays Hits (Rap, little country, etc) to Classical.

It was on that station for barely a minute. And as dissapointed as I was, it didn't surprise me in the slightest.

I can't express myself in Art at all with some auto-tuned talentless shit yelling about "booze n' bitchez."

I accept cookies for I am the maker of the video

Nice vid. it's funny because those were some of my favorite parts of the game.

Games in general need to get over the ken doll treatment of males and step up like THQ did with the WWE games and give the men actual asses and crotches. Its not like anyone in the WWE games is walking around with a massive bulge, but at least you can tell they have "something" there and aren't ken dolls. And their asses aren't flat as a board with terrible textures like every other game.

So.....is this why you are renting WWE 13? or are you a fan for another reason?

I play WWE games solely for the create a char. I love create a character stuff in games. I like making my own char, making the entrance, setting all the moves and whatnot etc. It's rare in games and WWE games have one of the best when it comes to that stuff. And while it's wrestling and not a fighting game, it still has a bit of that to it in a way. So it's fun for me becuase of that. Being able to choose and set all my own custom movelist is very appealing and fun and really adds style and flare to the character to make them unique.

And while I certainly make attractive males on the game and use them as my mains, I have waaaaaaaay more females on those games solely because I enjoy making REALLY fucked up looking females on those games and bringing them online solely for the shock value. Listening to or reading people's reactions is hilarious.

The game lets you for example stretch their boobs out to like DDDDD cup and then squeeze them flat so they look huge from the side but from the front they look like pieces of paper. Or then put someone with like skinny big bird legs that's 12 feet tall yet a midget from the waste up with tiny 1 foot arms, no neck etc.

Here's an example of some of the ones I created:
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/6131/img20110421195047.jpg

Then making them have all overtly sexual moves, entrances, taunts, etc. or ridiculous types of finishers (like a super slow mo move that does nothing but pick you up and put you down for 2 minutes straight as a finisher) to finish them off. It's hilarious.

I have zero interest in WWE itself anymore, not since like 2001, but, I still play the games for the above reasons. Although I only gamefly them for the past 2 years because I'm getting sick of them overall because they really don't add anything new much anymore. It's always the same shit and online is full of glitches and hackers so it's not even fun to play competitively unless you're playing with legit friends who you know aren't cheating or gonna turn every single tag match into a tornado tag etc.

Just fucking put Mercs into the Revs package - would make up for what's a hefty pricetag.

Could she be Japanese, sure. Has it ever been mentioned in any of her numerous officially released bio's by Capcom? Link me por favor (:
Stated by the people who wrote those biographies, details of which will be publicly available in due time.
