I'm not getting defensive, I'm just wanting to clarify that's not the only reason why I like the character. Trust me I can take a joke as good as anyone, I just didn't know that statement was indeed one.

And I respect that reply you gave, you're acquainted with the rules of the internet. Nothing serious, nothing harmful. I used to like Jill, but after all the mutants that emerged when RE5 was announced it killed my interest in the character. When Revelations was announced it was the same deal, everyone bitching about how Jill looked and at the same time completely overlooking the more interesting parts of the game, like the enemies and such. This goes some way to explaining why I like Claire as my favourite female protagonist, despite the fact that she seems to have been relegated to a backseat role.

I'm sure you see it all the time, you can't visit THIA without some Los Jilluminados cultist preaching about how "sexy" or "beautiful" Jill looks with brown hair. As far as I know, Claire fans seem to be a lot more reserved but even so, you do get the occasional mutant oggling over a VIDEO GAME CHARACTER. Sometimes I think too much effort in placed in sex appeal over actual characterisation.

People 'freak out' (Read: PTSD) over less worse stuff than that, I'd probably have PTSD after any of the shit Chris has gone through.

Dibs on calling the plot twist where Chris dies due to infection and Jill just finds out she was pregnant with their baby.

And then, 9 months later, she has the baby and it's born wearing sunglasses...

DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN!

This is insane. Capcom's been trying to kill Leon for a while, but now they're deciding to go for Chris. Why Capcom!?

This way, the death would be major enough to strike the hearts of not just true RE fans, but the nooblets who only played 5. Also, they have another stupid reason to bring Jill and Claire back into the fray. And so the stupid plot devices continue!

Finally home again so I sunk in more time with the demo. The more I play the more I find Leon's demo to be boring. The zombies dont provide enough of a challenge to really use your skills. Chris and Jake's scenario though force you to use all moves and weapons at your disposal. There are some moments where I dive right under an enemy attack and shoot them for a kill, get up and quick shot a dude behind me, it all happens so fast. There is going to be some impressive high skill level play.

After fighting fast moving and intelligent Ganados and Majini in 4 and 5, are you really surprised by this? This was why Capcom have always been hesitant to bring zombies back.

odd topic for someone just starting in this forum...

Yeah, it really does. Because your opinion is so cemented that you don't even address the things people keep saying about your argument like what Stu was getting at.

How could you pretend to know what you would feel like in this situation? I've said this many times now but you don't ever address that. It's as simple as, you don't know everything .
How would you know what it would be like to have this happen to you? How do you know you would behave any differently than him? I don't care what you say, your dad didn't try to blow up the world. He wasn't a super villain that left you at birth. He wasn't killed by the BSAA. There's no way that you have even had an approximation of this happen to you.
The reason why we can't effectively debate about this is because we don't agree on the same premise in the first place. You think you know that what Jake may have learned would (realistically) negate the sort of actions he took. We don't think that's realistic because we don't know what a person would possibly be thinking. The rest of the argument is based off of this point, in which we do not agree on.

Because of that, there is no way to effectively debate about it at all. Not unless we can agree on the base facts like this first. It's like apples and oranges, they don't add together. Since we don't agree with your assessment of what Jake's mental state should be, then that means anything after that doesn't even matter. If we also thought that for some reason Jake had no reason to be upset, then we'd think the same thing you do.
We don't though. We don't think we could imagine what he was feeling, but it was extreme. (And yes, we get that he was told about his dad, and that doesn't change what we think about his mental state).
You do think you know he had no right to feel like that, that it wasn't realistic.

For this reason, you're being a drama queen, yeah. We don't want to argue about it anymore, because as I've shown, it's not fruitful. It's just annoying because we're not getting anywhere like this. I remember someone even said that they think that you'll just have to agree to disagree, but you wouldn't even let it alone at that.
We're not trying to change your thinking, we're just trying to say that we believe we have a reason to think the way we do. Stop arguing at that, you're beating a dead horse.

Just let us have our opinion without telling us we're wrong again, and admit that we can just have a difference of opinion and that things will be just fine. It's true, they will.

Loved the Piers and Chris relationship in this game.

Felt like I could totally relate to Piers, as i am sure a lot of guys do, have that one friend whose so hellbent on something they are completely irrational and being a complete ass to everyone around them, then once something happens and someone gets hurt, its too late to say sorry. Had to tear up a bit at his death, just staring at Chris.
