Just reading about the fact that it will be Sonic alone and the focus of the game will be w/ "speed" (as it should be) is enough to get me to buy this game. I haven't really played a Sonic game since SA 2, though the only good one imo in between that and the most recent one, is Sonic Heroes.

Look on the bright side, at least they never made a video game based on Sonic Underground.

So, let me get this straight. You would rather pay more for DLC content than just $40 for a new game? So, even if it IS your opinion...no offense to your intelligence, but that preference is pretty stupid. Unless you got $ like that just spend (most likely not since you complain about costume pack prices), I really can't see why you would prefer that. And for the record, considering the content that will be included in Super SF4, like Dizzy stated, it's definitely enough to warrant a retail release. Also, you seriously can't use RE5GS as an example. Yeah, they released it as both retail and DLC, but guess what...the DLC was for people who already had the game. The retail was for everyone who wanted the entire bundle. The DLC additions for people who already had the game, were at a reasonable price...and at the most it was 4 different things (the costumes packs and the extra chapters). SSF4 would not be able to do that. All the new characters, stages, bonus stages, extra music tracks, 3rd costume packs would amount to more than $40 of DLC. Putting all of that on a disc and charging $40 is the GENEROUS route they took. Which is why they actually have my respect.

We've already established the settlement on the "crude comment" bit, I don't know why you re-mentioned it, as I never brought it up once in my previous post. From my last post on, all I've been trying to do is explain why simply your "desire" for it to be DLC would just NOT work. I kid you not, there's THAT much content that it would just not work. It's also logically questionable as to WHY someone would want to pay more for stuff just so that their old game isn't "useless". But whatever, like you said... it is YOUR opinion. No offense, but when something just logically doesn't make sense, opinion or not, I get carried away in trying to convince people otherwise. I'm officially done with the "debate/convincing". All it comes down to now, is personal preference. I have mine, you have yours. Simple as that...

I think the lesson we Biohazard fans have learned these years, is that documented files have more story/backstory than any of the games' cutscenes lol.

Very easy choice. My favorite game character of all time, is Chun-li from the Street Fighter series. Back in the arcade days of the 90s, when Street Fighter II was the arcade crack of fighting games, I would watch people play this amazing game with vivid interest. I can clearly remember seeing lots of Ryus and Kens (since they were from SF 1) and I had actually meant to pick Guile as my first character, but the "invisible timer" ran out and I got Chun-li instead. She turned out to be my best character, as people would furiously leave the machine and my uncle, who took me to the arcades, was laughing hard. Lightning kicks all day. Eventually, people started to wise up and began keeping their distance and throwing fireballs. Then, all it did was make me step my game as I got older and played more, and began to use her more effectively.

I guess, throughout my life that I've been playing the game, I grew up with Chun. I took interest in her character's background most of all, because she had a tale of revenge as well as having an actual motive for wanting to enter and win the tournament (take down Shadaloo and avenge her father's death). Plus, she was a cop/interpol officer and has a strong sense of justice.

Plus, she's just really hot. <3

It's kinda hard to take your inputs seriously when a lot of the times you type stuff that heavily contradicts what you do. You basically say the repetition style of Marvel annoys/bores you, etc. Yet you pick Kain and literally spam/zone whatever you wanna call it, fireballs for most of, if not, the entire match. So, I find some bitter irony in the fact that you could get upset that I found it boring or tactless (especially in casuals), but you would complain about the very same thing in MvC2. Out of everyone here, I've played you in fighters the most and to be blunt, you play VERY repetitive. That's why it's easy to lay the smackdown on you. And for the small amounts of times you have gotten your licks in, it's because you finally did something different that I didn't expect. Which, is kinda the point, but it shouldn't take a 10 or more win streak to finally do something different. So yeah...you hate routine tactics but you do them. And even more so, if they're so routine, then WHY is it hard for you to simply block or avoid them? Again, we all keep wondering this, especially if you type wikipedia style posts about how fighters work, but yet you act like you know probably the least.

To put it simple, just like V-rated said. It's the mating call of the scrub. You cry when people don't play the way you want, but want praise when you play the way you want and "feel" like you did good. And I'm sorry, but I really find it even more difficult to take anyone who plays freakin' RE 5 VERSUS seriously. The way the scoreboard works is too retarded and doesn't even show skill, just how much time a person puts into it. So, it might sound like bashing, but given that I have played fighters the most with you, I'm offering 100% truth. Your "opinions" definitely contradict your actions. S'all I'm sayin'.

Since I've already stated how I feel about X-factor as a whole, I won't go into that. I don't mind the easy learning curve, but don't respect it since people now tend to view themselves as good and as "rivals/competition/etc" when they were no where near being around for the more difficult games. It's more of a personal thing, again. I do accept the fact that more people can play it and get good at it, but have some friggin' modesty. I won't respect you if you boast n' brag about being good, but gave no respect nor love for 2 (which, we all HAVE to admit, if not for we would not even have a 3). But if you're good at 3, and "know your place" so to speak, I have no problems. Simple Mode is just pathetic. That's just for babies whom you let play vs. people just to make a show or have a good laugh with the family or friends.

The talk of execution is being stretched out farther now than it originally was intended. Not having execution doesn't mean the game is shitty, nor do I feel that way. Is it scrub-friendly? Hell yes. It definitely is. But that still doesn't make it a "bad" game. My personal feeling on the subject, is that a person should have to execute a combo at some point. There are times to play keep away and set up traps/baits, but I don't respect having to spend MY time to chase a person down. A person wants to do that in a tourney, go right ahead. Money is most likely involved so who cares what others think, but in casuals or practice sessions? Come on... Those are the times you WANT to practice landing a combo. if the runaway/keep away route doesn't work, then what else can you rely on? Combos, which require of course, execution. The complexity of the combo, with that certain character, depends on the player. It can either be difficult and rewarding, or it can be easy and safe. But at some point in a match, it HAS to be done.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a very fun and enjoyable game. I like the equal footing most of the cast has, (though i feel the roster is still lacking on the Capcom side), and I enjoy how gorgeous the game looks. I play it often enough and have invested in time to say I do like it. I acknowledge it's flaws and feel that it's still incomplete, but it's a fun game. Do I feel that it "sucks" in comparison to 2? Yeah, I do. But that's an opinion of mine and shouldn't be taken as fact. The question of "Is 2 the better game?" can have opinions, but there's factual proof that shows that it most certainly is. We can officially debate this in 10 years.

- Ada wears a black dress now instead of a red dress and wears ghost-face make-up.
- Chris signs a contract with Vince McMahon and joins WWE as Chris "Boulder's Gate" Redfield
- The new guy is Max Steel
- Josh and Jill got married one month after the events in Africa, due to Jill's jungle fever, and she became pregnant with his child. They have a 3 year old daughter named Ami Mizuno.
- The new blonde girl turns out to be Sherry Birkin, searching for Claire Redfield whom she owes a new jacket.
- Wesker makes his return as Metal Cooler.
- Resident Evil 6 takes place on Namek.
- Shinji Mikami is the executive producer, director, and mastermind behind this relic.

I'm sold. Will be buying this day 1.

Possession stance cancels the super, though all of the hits continue to connect. Too good. Natsuuu
Lol whaaaat? Crazy.

People are actually saying she's the best character so far.
Ironically enough, it's true. But it seems more like bitching about a character that nobody can block as opposed to her being "that good". For example, someone had this to say about Natsu (From 8WayRun - http://8wayrun.com/threads/scv-tier-list.10326/page-2):

"S: Natsu
Agreed. This character does way too much damage for the options she has. The insane number of guard breaks she has allows her to build meter like a motherfucker, her CE is safe on block except to certain other CEs, and her 50/50s guarantee 80+ damage meterless bullshit. Seriously, this character is fucking Amy all over again."

I intensely disagree. Seeing "Way too much damage for the options she has" was already enough for me to instantly realize it was just plain complaining. However, saying that Natsu is Amy all over again? That's just a retarded exaggeration. SC IV Amy was about as brain-dead easy and good as they come. If they had her in a game like this (with no real way to repel stuff without meter) she'd be literally banned. As for Natsu herself, she's definitely a rewarding character that takes practice and definitely a good amount of skill to use. People TRY to pick her because they see how good players use her, but they don't realize that it does not come easy.

Having messed around with the game myself, I picked Pyrrha. Now Pyrrha is probably the "Amy" of SC V. Definitely not as brain-dead, but it doesn't take THAT much skill to use her. She has normals you can abuse because of their priority, a good amount of her normals are safe, she has a command guard impact (that requires no meter), easy set ups into super, and she does a lot of damage. She's literally Sophitia II (for obvious reasons of course). When you compare Natsu and Pyrrha, it can be argued that Natsu is potentially better, but there's no doubt that Pyrrha is definitely easier with less risk and better reward.

Oh, and isn't it sad that a "guest style" such as Devil Jin is even considered in the top category? I don't even know who the hell suggested that, but it was definitely not needed. If it really turns out to be THAT good, there's a chance that it'll be banned in tourneys, but we'll see.

Of course Gamestop would offer the shittiest map. I'll hop on the Rail Yard bandwagon and say that it's the best/most fun looking map, though the High Seas Fortress looks like a VERY close 2nd.

As for the whole DLC debacle. Let's not even get into that. Why? Because it's Capcom and we're gonna end up giving them our money anyways. To those of you who feel so strongly about it and withhold your money, more power to ya. But I'll shell out the money (for what I consider to already be a good game).

We're all acting like cloning wasn't even done already. As forgetful a character as Sergei Vladimir was, he is unfortunately a canon part of the series. And since he was compatible with the T-Virus 100% to create tyrants, they made 10 clones of him. And like some have already mentioned, in a series where you have super humans throwing missiles with such speed they explode on contact, genetic cloning is not so far fetched.

lol how ironic, they actually had this concept in the 2008 remake of Day of the Dead. One of the soldiers was zombified, but retained some degree of his humanity and didn't attack his comrades because he was a vegetarian. He still had the "stupidity" of a zombie, but he didn't act on instinct. He was literally just chillin' in the back of the jeep. probably thinking about some plants.

For the love of...Is this really turning into a novella style debate? Over screen time for characters??? Seriously, what TRUE fan says "Oh, I hope this game stars *insert character* and leaves out *insert character* because they've already been in X amount of games". I'd jump at the opportunity to play as any of the 4 main protagonists and would be enthralled at their inclusion as a cameo. Let's look at it this way: Chris, Jill, Leon, AND Claire have all had enough exposure and character development throughout all the games, movie (Degeneration), and canon documents. If we want to be technical, Claire has probably had the least exposure compared to the other 3, but enough that she's been established as a series mainstay. Like I said before, and I'll say it again, we finally get Chris and Leon together in a game interacting with each other (Never before seen), so having Claire or Jill or even both would be a huge icing on the cake (or another layer :P)

Since we talk about character inclusions and denial...how bad was it that Barry, who played a pretty crucial role in the Umbrella saga, just gets dropped off the face of the Earth. They don't even throw him in Umbrella Chronicles Russian Chapter. He wanted to take down Umbrella as much as anybody else and the poor man gets the shaft. Now there's somebody who probably needs more exposure than anybody in the damn series.
