Enrico was the second in command of the S.T.A.R.S. unit and the leader of Bravo Team. He was very dedicated to his job but felt threatened when Barry and Chris arrived, fearing that on of them would replace him as second in command.

On the night of July 22, 1998, Wesker sent Enrico and his Bravo Team to investigate the murders in the Arclay Mountains. After their helicopter crashed, Bravo Team discovered an overturned federal vehicle that had been transporting convicted murderer Billy Coen. Figuring he must be responsible for the murders, they started a search for him.

While on his search, Enrico found his way into an underground Umbrella facility, where he learned the horrible truth behind Umbrella's operations. Enrico also found Rebecca in the facility, while she was searching for Billy, and since she insisted on locating him the two went their separate ways.

Enrico then found his way to the Spencer Mansion where he discovered that Wesker worked for Umbrella. Enrico managed to get to the sewers under the mansion but was injured, possibly by a Hunter. Jill Valentine found Enrico in the sewers, and was about to inform Jill of all the secrets he uncovered but was shot by Wesker before he could.
