Chief Brian Irons

Brian Irons was the police chief of Raccoon City at the time of the viral outbreak. Chief Irons was, in fact, working for Umbrella, making sure any of their experiments gone wrong were promptly covered up. When the S.T.A.R.S. team returned from the mansion it was Irons who dismissed their story as false.

Irons is not a decent human being by any stretch of the imagination- at the time of the outbreak Irons hid ammo and purposely blocked exits. Irons was also placed in charge of protecting the mayor’s daughter, but failed at this task as the daughter was bitten by a zombie.

Claire ran into the psychotic police chief while exploring the police station, where he asked her to leave him alone while he prepared to shoot the mayor's daughter when she awoke as a zombie. Having dispatched the mayor’s daughter, Irons escaped into his secret chamber. Claire found Irons inside the chamber, where he told her about Umbrella and William Birkin. He then threatened to kill her, claiming “everyone’s gonna die!” Just then, however, William Birkin ripped Chief Irons in half.
