Alexia was one of two twins conceived in an experiment by Alexander Ashford. Alexia was clearly the more intelligent of the two twins, Alexander was certain that Alexia was the reincarnation of Veronica, the woman who began the Ashford legacy.

At the age of 10 Alexia became the youngest Umbrella scientist ever, breaking William Birkin’s former record. She was obsessed with creating the T-veronica virus; she even experimented on her own father. Eventually she came to the conclusion that she had to inject herself and keep her body frozen for many years in order for the virus to fuse with her body. With the help of her brother Alfred she did just that, staying frozen for many years.

When she awoke from her capsule she found her brother dying in front of it. As Alfred died in her arms, Alexia unleashed her new power, controlling huge tentacles that traveled vast distances and captured Claire and Steve. She infected Steve with the virus only to kill him later when he retaliated. Alexia also fought against, and defeated, Wesker who wanted her body.

Alexia’s final stand came when she fought Chris deep inside the base. She had lost her human form and was now more insect than human, and Chris destroyed Alexia, once and for all ending her reign of terror.
